Attend my friends wedding or stay on my Euro trip?

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend this past Christmas surprised me with a trip to Europe. It’s both of us and a few of ours friends for this October. I was super excited, but I remembered that my friend was talking about getting married in the fall. I texted her and asked if she had a date picked yet and she said yes, it was going to be one of the weekends we are away. She didn’t send out the save the dates yet at this point, and it is a small wedding (50 people including her and her fiance). I told her I would try my best to attend, explained we’re going to Europe, and she said she hopes I can make it but understands if I can’t. My plan was to take a flight from Europe, attend her wedding for the day, fly back to Europe for the remainder of my trip. (Her wedding is in the middle of our trip)
The wedding is a few states away from where we live, and a pretty rural state. After looking more into this and with recent skyrocketed airline prices, it will cost me $2500 total with a hotel, a rental car (I’d have to drive 4 hours to the venue from the nearest international airport), and the flights in and out of Europe. I’ve been friends with her for 10 years with a few years in the middle we didn’t talk, but we have always been friendly. She does not have a bridal party.

The pros are that I love her and I want to attend her wedding and see her get married. I feel so sad at the option I might have to skip out and I desperately want to make both work. Also, we tried to move our trip dates, but we are traveling to 4 different countries with the flights were already paid for. So, they could not be moved without basically doubling the cost of each flight.

TLDR; one of my close friends is getting married in the middle of my pre-planned Europe trip. It will cost me $2500 total to leave the trip, attend her wedding, and fly back

I got myself into credit card debt, what is my best option?

Hello, I am 26 years old and have credit card debt.

I have $5900 on a no interest card until June of 2027, my more pressing balance is $1200 on a capital one card that is due on September 4th. I do not let my cards collect interest and pay in full every month for the past 7 years, but I will not be able to pay the full $1200 on time.
Which option makes the most sense financially?

A) Pull $1200 from my contributions of my Roth IRA, pay it off, and be done with it.
B) Pay what I can, and let the rest collect interest.
C) transfer balance to a 0% apr credit card, and pay it off before the year is over.

My credit score is 770, and was 810 last year. Obviously this isn’t a great situation, but I want to know what will be the BEST option financially and with my money. I have several jobs, and can pick up shifts to earn more money so I’m not worried about not being able to pay off the balances eventually. I just cannot make enough money between now and then to make the $1200 in full.

Thank you in advance, please be kind! Everyone makes mistakes.

I have $8,000 in credit card debt- pull from Roth IRA or slowly pay off?

Hello everybody.

I got a new job this summer. I was previously a waitress full time making about $50,000 a year, but recently got a job this summer that pays $18/hour. I make about $600 every 2 weeks, and I serve 1-2 times a week. I’m much happier being at the restaurant less, especially since it’s so slow in the summer. But, financially, it has been difficult.
I also pet sit on the side, and all of this money goes to a “travel savings” account that I cannot touch because I have a destination wedding I agreed to attend.
I have $24,000 in a Roth IRA, however, I am in debt (student loans about $22k which I pay $500 to every month and will pay off by 30), and I am in $6,000 credit card debt on no interest until June 2027. I have about $2,000 credit card debt now, that will be due in the end of August.
I might be able to pick up extra shifts and pay it off, but unfortunately I don’t know if I’ll be able to pay off the full amount. I have never in my life let a credit card collect interest and it sounds terrible to pay extra money for something.

What should I do with the money I have and my debts? Should I pull out money from my Roth IRA to pay off my credit card debts? I’m looking for the best strategy that will help me out best financially now and in the future.
And yes, I know, I need to spend less money. I didn’t realize that it had gotten this high.

TLDR; I have immediate debt of $2k that needs to be paid off, and $6k on a no interest credit card until 2027. Should I pull out my Roth IRA contributions to pay off these debts? Or pay off the cc’s over time?

New to housesitting & a bit uncomfortable petsitting for this dog/family?

Hey everybody, I have been petsitting since the beginning of this year! I have pet sat for this dog before, she is around 10, has very bad anxiety, and her owners are very relaxed.

Originally, her mom said she could be alone for 10-12 hours at a time, and they were not home most of the day. She is a miniature dachshund, and she has severe anxiety it seems. She shakes when I leave and come back inside, she pees on the couch excessively (her owners are aware and said the vet said she is fine). I’m talking anytime I leave the house for anything, she pees on the couch. Sometimes it will be several puddles, and I have to use their shampooing machine to clean their couch. She also poops in the hallway at least once a day, even after pooping on her morning walk, and being let out several times.

Her parents are aware of this as I’ve said, and I have no idea how long they leave her alone for. She is difficult to comfort, has no toys, does not play, and just seems very scared all of the time. I feel so bad for her, and her parents do say often. I have 2 more bookings this summer, but it’s very uncomfortable to stay at their home as well. They don’t offer me towels, no additional blankets, and their house backs up to the woods so I feel a bit unsafe. This time, they have ants that have been crawling all over her food and water. I have dumped and cleaned them both and moved them, and thankfully the ants have stopped. I was not warned about this, but today finally did spot an ant trap near where they were coming so I know the owners are aware.

I guess my question is- is this a normal pet sitting job? Is this a concern for the dog? I am being compensated $250 for Thursday-Sunday. Before, I did it for $250 for Thursday-Monday, but I have upped my prices to be around the same as those in this area.
