Is Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition worth buying on Switch?

Hey everyone, the title probably gives away what I want to ask. Since the deluxe version is $10.50 on the eShop, it seems like an incredibly good deal to pass up. However, my fear is that, being an open-world game, and many games of this style ultimately end up being empty worlds with simple and repetitive missions, it might leave a bad taste in my mouth when I finish it, or that I won't want to replay it.

I've been looking for reviews and videos that give me the pros and cons to help me decide, but so far I'm even more undecided. I think that not being a Harry Potter fan is putting me at a disadvantage, but there's another factor: most of the games I buy are also for my wife. We both share a Switch, and while I have two or three games of my own, she has two of hers. We're evenly matched, and when it comes to expensive purchases or really good deals, we both argue about whether to buy them or not. Honestly, neither of us knows what to do. We're curious about the game, but like me, she's afraid she'll get bored if it's too repetitive.

If you could give us honest opinions about the game, not as fans of the Harry Potter series, but as gamers, we would really appreciate it. Another factor is that my wife has only been playing with the Switch for a year, so she's very new to it. This could be her first open-world game, and in my case, my third, but I'm not a big fan of these games.

Sorry for my English, it's not my native language and I can't write it well, which is why I'm using a translator. So please excuse me if I haven't explained my questions clearly. I hope I've at least written them decently.

Hey hunters!! Since yesterday I've been fighting Gaismagorm and it was one of the most fun fights I've had in the whole game! I experimented with decorations, but I think Partbreaker and Weakness Exploit helped me a lot.

After 3 attempts, and finally managing to "defeat" him on the third (I just need to fight him alone now), the anomalies have started appearing, and... a bunch of quests that are giving me nightmares (Chaos Gore Magala, Ibushi Amatsu, and they keep coming). My question is: What should I focus on?

I recently increased my MR to 21 after fighting Ibushi (5 attempts, but damn!! It's been a while since I felt this much excitement during a hunt), and A☆1 and A☆2 are unlocking, but I don't know whether to use them or focus on increasing my MR as much as possible first.

I appreciate any advice you can give this casual hunter for his journey in the Endgame. Thank you very much for your time.

I was bored and decided to hunt the Elder Dragons, but I started playing around with the colors. Now I'm going for Kushala because I'm missing 3 pieces for her CB

Hey hunters, how's it going? It's me again with questions that are keeping my mind racing, so here goes:

I reached Master Rank 5 a few days ago and beat Count Dracula (since when did Capcom collaborate with Konami?). I started farming for his CB and thought, "Great, I already have my second (or third?) Purple sharpness."

And then I suddenly remembered that I skipped the last two pages of HR events. Since they're just nonsense like tickets, stickers, and layered armor, I was using the full Valtrax set and weapon, which was the best I had before starting the DLC. But the fights against Ibushi and an Apex Rathian left me cold. Sure, the set wasn't fully upgraded, but at that point, I thought I'd play the DLC and come back later.

Okay, so right now I have the Espinas set, Malzeno's Charge Blade, and a build focused on luck and increased sharpness. I tested this against the event Ibushi and was able to kill it in under 10 minutes. I felt satisfied with that, and when I was going to fight the Toxic song fanatic, I checked what I was missing and saw it: Valtrax. Fighting Malzeno reminded me of this turbo jet, and I thought, "This will be fun." First, I went through his normal HR mission about twice to remember his moveset, 10 minutes each fight.

Okay, so I activated the event mission, prepared myself before fighting him by upgrading the regular mission potions, and I kept dying, dying, and dying. Not even 5 minutes passed before I saw the "mission failed" message. I stared at my Switch for 30 seconds thinking, "What the heck just happened?" I tried again, focused, and fought him, but 10 minutes later I died again. This happened to me four times before I went to craft decorations focused on defense and shields, hoping that would give me a chance. I'd never had to craft anything like that in the entire game so far.

And if anyone's wondering, I had the items that give you a defense and attack boost, as well as the enhanced drinks for defense and attack, and even with all that, Valtrax wiped the floor with me. This last attempt, I stripped away all my luck and shard buffs and focused on defense and shields, hoping it would work. First cart at 7 minutes, second at 20, and with half my potions gone, this son of a bitch, mutilated to the last bit, finally fell at 30 minutes.

The victory wasn't satisfying. In the entire DLC, I only suffered two deaths, and that was against Malzeno. The fact that this event mission left me so battered made me wonder: Was this thing designed for HR elements? Or did I just not improve at all while playing?

So, fellow hunters, I just want to know if it was me, or if this thing was ridiculously hard, almost like a MR hunt disguised as an HR event. Thanks for taking the time to read my rant; now I'm going to lick my wounds in my corner.

Edit: Okay, honestly, I give up. Ten attempts configuring HR gear, creating level 7 weapons again to avoid using any MR equipment, and I still can't do it. I tried with attack and healing teammates, and I even cheated by giving them MR gear, but nothing. This has really discouraged me, to be honest, and it makes me think that if I can't beat this HR event mission, then the endgame will be impossible for me.
