A friend of mine brag to me about him fathering 10 children through sperm donation

I just think it's wild. Why would you do such a thing? He thinks the number of offspring represents how successful you are, and part of the evolution, and mock me that I can't be qualified anyways even if I want to . How should I debate him?

I fathered 8 kids... and wanted to share my thoughts on this experience

Back in the days when I first entered the work force, I was recruited as a sperm donor for a short period of time quite randomly. It was truly a fascinating experience because I would never guess that my past time leisure can help me earn a buck, matter a fact that its a really high ROI, $100- $150 per session, that took me 10 min (the spot was on my way to work so I really just waste 15 - 20 min in total end to end). I did that for 4 months and called it a quit since my work got busy. Anyhow, I was appreciative of the experience since I was technically 5'7.5, and wasn't from the ivy league (though my alma mater was still well regarded). I'm a ok looking dude, and felt that most of the donors I saw was really tall and decent/good looking, so I felt flattered to be chosen. I don't know what's behind each decision, but I suspect that the lady who interviewed me liked me, and I'm a minority, which maybe in shorter supply?

Fast forward 12 years, I have 2 kids now, and suddenly received a note from the donation center asking for signing a disclosure. I did that and asked how many kids that were reported from my donations. They said 6 reported and the actual numbers are very likely to be higher since reporting is optional. I can't help but feel good about the fact that I was able to produce more kids indirectly and artificially. First of all, being able to help others via something I was given feels good. Secondly, biologically, I firmly believe men are wired to reproduce that so there are some low key level of satisfaction from this whole experience. Though i will not be part of the life for those 6 kids, I genuinely wish them well, and am willing to help if they reach out to me once they turn 18.
