One year post op later this month

I had my gastric sleeve oct 21 2025. SW 268lbs, surgery date weight 247lbs, current weight 195lbs. I am 5'8. I have lost 70lbs total. Size 2LX to a L. Weight loss slowed around 6 months. I have lost around 15lbs since April. This is for others with slower weight loss. I am happy with the weight loss. I will continue on the plan and hope to lose another 20-30lbs. I am 57 and menopausal so its tought but im keeping on plan.

People at work notice and are shocked when I tell them I have 30 more lbs to lose. I think they just remembered when I was so big, or they are just being kind.

Take before pictures. Its hard to see changes especially over a year.

Onderland finally.

I am 9 month post op. 68lbs down now. I have been in a plateau since May. 201-205 for more than 2 months. Finally got below 200. Im 5'8 and not overweight would be around 160lbs. I am looking more toward 175-180. I am not comfortably in a size L from 2XL. Last time I lost weight I felt I looked too gaunt at 180lbs. Change is hard.

I have been trying to get more exercise. Lifting and swimming. At 57 I need to strength train to keep my bones strong.

Who knew that I could think about a project and just start it. I thought I need to clean up my patio. I pulled out the pressure washer (which hasn't been used in at least 2 years). I got the moss and weeds out. Tomorrow I will get sand and fill the holes. I don't recognize myself. I love how I can just do things.

Last week I bought 12 bags of wood chips and refreshed my front yard. Then placed stones to make a path on my side yard. I bought and planted new flowers.
