I cant tell if its a hardware problem or a software problem

One of my dvd players just hangs on the part where it finds out what the label of the dvd is. I've tried everything software wise, The other reader works perfectly fine, It once was able to get a single dvd ripped but i cant recreate that. I tried greasing the rails in the dvd reader and nothing happened. There are no weird noises or clicking it just spins fully.

My homelab as a begginer

My buddy found a seneca xk 1.3 in a dumpster and had no use for it so he gave it to me to start a minecraft server. I installed debian 13 and casaos on it, Then the fan was insanely loud because it had a bad bearing so I replaced it with a desktop heatsink fan I had lying around. I then found an old 500gb hard drive lying around. I used a 19 year old power supply to power the hard drive for the sata power. Im thinking about upgrading the ram from 4gb to 12gb. I tried running software stuff with jellyfin but im way too inexperienced to do that yet.

Stuck between 2 monitors (Samsunng LS27FG500ENXZA G50f) and (Asus tuf VG27AQ3A)

They both have nearly the same specs, (samsung is a bit brighter), They're both the same price and they both are exactly what I want. I really hate tinkering with the monitors colours to get it to look right so whichever one looks great out of the box is the one i want, I also am a gamer so i would prefer less ghosting, better responese time and other features like that.

Im stuck between two graphics cards for my pc (9070/9070xt)

Im almost done my pc but I have 2 options for a graphics card, Either I get a asus prime oc 9070 xt ($899+$15 shipping) OR a Saphire pulse 9070 ($799), The 9070 is closer to msrp but its only a $115 difference. For context in the pc it has a 5800X plus 32gb 3200mhz ram and a 750w psu. I usually play cpu intensive games like beamng and minecraft but i want to still be able to run rdr2 and cyberpunk at 1440p with high fps, Im currently leaning towards the xt model because of future proofing.
