Looking for help
Looking for answers on what the first 2 pics are, it breaks up easily but keep seeing this 5 years now in different spots.
I have tried to get a nice thick green lawn and it just seems impossible as the other 2 pics show.
If it helps this is an area with a lot of shagbark hickory trees, very sandy soil, less than 100 yards from the Kankakee river, and do not get full sun, also when leaves fall it is pure hell to clean up.
I have tried Scott's a couple times and just recently cancelled tru green as after 5 applications those the results I've gotten, waste of money.
Not looking for a putting green but any help from experienced people here to help with the bare spots and green up would be greatly appreciated
