K Ultra replacement grip?

it's a well know issue that the faux leather becomes disintegrated after a few years.

which, in its own, to be expected given the material and doesn't affect coffee. but I guess most people would rather have a good looking grinder on the counter top.

Is there any offical or after market replacement grip? I heard people wrap it with tennis overgrip, how does it look?

long term durability of Flair Pro 3 (White)

So I had my Flair 3 for sometime and overall enjoy it (okayish with preheating, dislike the fiddly with assembling/disembling brewhead after each shot, but coffee's good so I use it at work where I don't have to make two shots back to back).

but one of my concern is the longer term durability (say 3-5 years, or plus). The O ring is a consumable and am alright with replacing them, but it seems to me there might be two potential weak points: 1) since you have to plug in and unplug the manometer everytime, and the stem is plastic - anyone having issue snapping the stem on the manometer? (and the manometer not waterproof or impactproof) 2) the ring thingy (don't know how to call it) where you place the brewhead on - initially I thought it's a whole piece of brass but apparently it's painted. although there are silcone on the brewhead to avoid metal-metal contact, given time, would the paint eventually wear and start rust?

Can probably sell it and use the proceed to help with buying another machine, say Flair 49 or Cafelat robot, but can also happily using it as is - if it doesn't break - hence the question on long term durability.

how off is my fit

so I don't expect the fit to be perfect coz it's a mtb which tends to be more forgiving and I don't ride too long sessions. but recently I start towing trailer and noticed some knee pain, so want to see whether it's something wrong with bikefit or I need to shiftdown gears even more.

Another sizing question

I'm still tossing up between endurance allroad and grizl AL5. like the 2x on endurance allroad, but the new Grizl also looks interesting. So I guess I'll try to get the sizing sorted first and then see which one becomes available sooner.

Canyon website estimate me to be S for both. I have relatively short leg/arm and start to have slight issue with neck strain (no pain yet, but don't know whether cycling in aggressive position will make it worse or help "stretching" it). Do I have to size down even more and go with XS?

(arm about 53cm measured from shoulder to wrist)

One question I have is on handle bar width - think both comes with 42CM wide bar for size S. I used to ride 38cm or 40cm. Would this be an issue?

Currently living in Austria and the cycling path are so well paved so I'm guessing perhaps I'll be on smooth surface most of time? (went to Donau Auen national park and it seems the gravel there can be easily handled by 35/40mm). In which use case would Grizl be superior?

which Nuroad to buy

My 2014 Scott Mtb is officially on its last leg, so I'm thinking buying a new bike.

Was kinda missing road riding, but also want to be able to ride offroad with young kids (so not really trails but more like small hills, over grass or dirt and stuff...I'd say probably 80% on bike lane and 20% on dirt/grass/gravel) and probably occasionally towing trailer, so am contemplating a gravel bike over Mtb, and would appreciate some advice.

  1. anyone made switch from mtb to gravel and what's your experience? Is it

  2. for Nuroad range, which model would be more suitable for my above mentioned need? I'm newbie when it comes to components, but I had some good times with my previous Cube Peloton with Claris 2x8...so I guess I ofc prefer good value for money but not necessarily pursuing high end component or perhaps I'm not sensitive to cadence as I'm just riding as leisure rather than training/race.

  3. and considering Pro and Race model...Pro seems to be best value for money, but Race comes with 2x and slightly better tire clearance. Race comes with internal cable routing via handle bar though (I like external routing more, but since even the base model is semi-internal, I guess the question is how much more trouble is the fully internal for DIY maintainence). So I guess the question is the $$ between race and pro worth it? Also, the race is priced similar to the lower end carbon models,

  4. another solution would be Canyon Endurace Allroad whith is similar price to Nuroad Pro and comes with 2x (but with less tire clearance, and I have no clue how their geometry compare with Nuroad). How do they compare (they are out of stock but I don't mind waiting)?

  5. is the FE model worth considering? They seems to be good value if you want those mudguards and kickstand/dynamo lights, but do you guys find those things useful if not using the bike to commute? (so I don't have to ride the bike when it's raining). Are the included the rack/mudguard good quality, do they wobble? Also Cube seems to use different racks for base model (One FE) vs Pro/Race FE, which rack is better?
