For context: my 1yo fern suffered greatly from hurricane milton and moving. throw in a scale infestation and i think i came close to losing it. it looks so much better, but nothing like its hey day, but now it looks like it is splitting. is that a thing?

It grew so fast after i moved it that it got away from me. my intention was to wind it back down the pole but it took off and has 4 roots attached to the wall. so leave it, cut it, or try and loop it back? i guess if it breaks i can repot the piece. i cut it last fall and it’s at least 3 ft longer now
