In an attempt to recreate the earlier practice where many people got the answer, let’s try this again. Same idea— find one card out of 4. I took the picture of the reveal first, focusing my energy on how it will look as it’s revealed and not on the turned over cards. My hope is that this makes the answer easier to pick up mentally 🤷🏻‍♀️.

And, of course, this is trying to recreate the earlier practice without one card (the answer) looking slightly darker in the picture, which may or may not have influenced peoples’ choices.

1, 2, 3, 4?

Answer: >!At the time of the reveal, 46/108 people answered 2. 46 people got it right! This was a very high percentage for these practices! One person pointed out that the light source created one dark spot on the second card making it stand out. So was this a psychological difference? Maybe!< >!🤷🏻‍♀️!<>!.!<

Additionally, I tried doing things a little differently. I took the picture of the reveal before flipping the cards over. I have always done it after in the past. I tried focusing on what would be shown as the answer as my first task.

Edit: The box is on the kitchen table, which is a total catch-all right now. Here are some of the things near the box: Rubics cube, kid art drawings, mostly of dinosaurs and Godzilla, Pokémon cards, playing cards, the baseball stuff was just recently put away, and folded laundry. There was a goose feather, but now that’s on the deck. So, in short, none of that is IN the box, but box adjacent.

My kids named these guys like they are My Little Ponies. So think along the vein of Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash. They are not named after any well known ponies though! Just similar vibe!

I’m trying to shake it up and try a practice I haven’t seen on here in a while. We will see how this goes!
