Cat won’t leave closet when I’m not home

I recently brought my cat to my apartment from my parents’ house (Friday night). It’s a new environment for her & it’s now much quieter since she’s not surrounded by my family.

She hasn’t left my closet all day, & doesn’t leave until I get home from work. I left it open for her just so she could feel safe but I am wondering if it’s best to keep it closed.

Or should I keep her litter box & food all in one space so she can slowly get accustomed to my apartment? (I failed to do this when I first brought her).

When I am home though she is mostly normal, still a bit scared though. She will follow me all over my apartment & come cuddle too.

No bowel movement in 24+ hours

For context, I picked her up from my family’s house & this is her first time ever living in a new place. It’s also her first time not around a ton of people. She’s confined herself to my closet & the bathroom (where the litter box is) but hasn’t made a single bowel movement in over 24 hours now. I figure it’s just the nerves. I should add that she is eating normally.

However, I am concerned & am wondering what I can do to help her go. & at what point should I seek vet help? Thanks in advance!
