Started running “for real” recently and I’m obsessed with how good it feels after?? Need advice/timelines

I’ve done weight lifting and cardio for years, but mostly gym cardio (stairmaster, treadmill walking, random HIIT, etc.) not actual running consistently outside in sessions like this.

Recently I started running properly and honestly… I get why people become addicted to it now. The feeling after a run is AMAZING mentally. I feel calmer, happier, clearer, less anxious, more energetic at the same time. Didn’t expect that at all. I thought you are all crazy hahahah

For reference:
Yesterday: 3 km at 8:11/km pace
Today: 5 km at 7:05/km pace in 35:03

I know these numbers probably aren’t impressive yet, but I’m curious what’s considered “normal” progress for a beginner with decent fitness already from lifting and cardio.

Some questions:
How many times a week should I run as a beginner?
How long should runs usually be?
Are recovery/rest days important for running too?
Is it okay to run multiple days in a row or should I avoid that at first?
How do people combine running + weight lifting without feeling destroyed?
How many months does it normally take to comfortably run faster/longer?
What kind of pace progression is realistic?
Any beginner mistakes I should avoid?
Tips for breathing/recovery/endurance?

Also curious when running started feeling “easy” or enjoyable for you guys instead of hard all the time.

How do i explain to my boyfriend that i don’t want to meet his ex’s entire friend group all at once after we had a huge fight about it and almost broke up? 22F 27M

so he (27M) got out of a 10 year relationship before me (22F). his ex is gorgeous ofc

but they also had this huge tight friend group of like 10 people, mostly girls, and a lot of them are HER childhood best friends since kindergarten.

now he wants me to go to dinner with all of them. without the ex obviously, but still. these are girls who watched them together for an entire decade.

and i said no because i’m sorry but that sounds insanely uncomfortable as a first meeting 😭

i’m not insecure ok maybe a bit, but still, i just don’t feel like sitting at a table subconsciously wondering if everyone is comparing me to his ex while i’m trying to eat pasta normally oh, and they will. we all watched himym, we all know how friends talk after dinners like this 😭 why would i put myself in this situation fr

i told him i’d actually prefer meeting them one by one or in smaller groups first because that feels way more natural to me, but he got really upset and said i’m unwilling to meet his friends and rejecting an important part of his life.

then it turned into this huge fight and we almost broke up over it.

am i dramatic or is this objectively a horrible setup for a first introduction

How hard is it ACTUALLY to move to South Korea as a foreigner?

Hi everyone,

I’m from Europe and thinking about moving to South Korea for my master’s degree and maybe long term after that. My reasons honestly aren’t K-pop or K-dramas related, I just want to experience life outside Europe and Korea caught my interest.

I work fully as a graphic designer already and make decent money, but it’s freelance work, not corporate, so I honestly don’t know if that would help me at all with finding a job there since I keep hearing the job market is brutal even for locals.

I’m learning Korean and planning a trip later this year, but I really need a reality check from people who actually live there.

How hard is it realistically for foreigners?
Is it possible to find work?
How are foreigners treated socially?
How bad is the culture shock coming from Europe?

Also maybe a weird question, but how much do beauty standards affect daily life there? I’m 173 cm, blonde, and skinny-ish by European standards but I genuinely have no idea if I’d stand out in a bad way there 😭

Would also love recommendations for cities besides Seoul.

I’d appreciate honest answers, good or bad.

Someone scared me with my chart interpretation 😭 can anyone else read it??

Hi! I’m an Aries and recently someone told me some pretty negative things about my natal chart, so now I’m curious what other people see in it. I’d love honest interpretations about my personality, strengths, relationships, career vibes, etc.
