Hello and good morning, I remember posting on here before, but my other account got hacked.

I’m 24 and will be 25 in the fall and I'm planning to move to Binghamton, NY to attend SUNY Broome in the fall. I’ve already been accepted and I’m trying to get my life started (school, job, independence, etc).

The issue is my family is basically trying to make decisions for me. They want me to move with them and are pressuring me to delay school until January instead of starting in the fall. When I try to explain my plan, they ignore it and force everything into yes/no answers or guilt me (like bringing up my grandma’s health to make me feel bad).

They also make it hard for me to work or be independent, which makes this whole situation worse.

I feel stuck because I’m technically an adult, but they still have a lot of control over my situation right now.

I don’t want to wait until winter. I want to start school in the fall and move forward with my life.

Has anyone else applied to this grant?
