Hiawatha Bike Trail How To

I am trying to learn more about the trail and what to expect.

I (43M) will be traveling with my wife (43F) and our 2 sons. (18 and 8) We are trying to plan when to go to the trail. We live about 4 hrs away and are planning to take our camp trailer for a 2-4 day gettaway from Washington. We will all be on e-bikes and our 8 year old on a one-wheel tagalong.

  1. Where can we camp the night before and/or after. (Preferably not in a parking lot)
  2. Can you camp at the trailhead?
  3. How long is the ride?
  4. Should we plan to ride both ways, shuttle or ride to Wallace. (Not sure how to get to Wallace)
  5. Do we need to plan to take food and water for the entire day? Is there a place to fill water bottles at begining, end or during the trail?
  6. Is it muddy?

Any other insight would be welcomed.
