When is it okay to say “I am done “

WHERE BREATH MEETS BREAKING: A POEM OF CHRONIC TRUTH

When is it okay to say, "I am done"?

When my tears have run dry because I can't cry anymore?

When I feel like a stranger in a room that only has me in it?

When daytime turns into my nightmares and sleep is my only escape?

When my misery becomes a domino effect that makes people roll their eyes?

When I can’t remember what it was like to be someone's happiness?

When my top priority was to never be a “nuisance,”—

That feeling has vanished.

When the pain—the goddamn f’ing pain—is bound to every breath I take?

When my heart has taken one last blow from the thousands of apologies I make that no longer hold any meaning?

When my painful broken body feels excruciating, crippling me as I hang on day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute?

This is who I am now,

And I will forever be shattering the unconditional love that was intended to exist between us.

My soul is lost forever.

Is it okay for me to say, "I am done," at this point?

Or is that not my decision?

Do I have to scream deep inside,

Slowly drown, and suffocate in what I never wanted—for myself or for you—

Until you say,……….."You're done"?

Chronic conditions are something I WOULD gladly wish on my worst enemy!

(Don't judge; you do not know my worst enemy.)

No title

No title

Defeated doesn’t even cover it.

The biggest hole in my stomach and the excruciating pain in my heart. Grieving for yourself is a loss you never truly get over.

He doesn’t understand that I am grieving for the girl I used to be.

I will be okay, but I just want to look in the mirror and see me.

It’s not nice.

I am forced to learn to be someone else, and that’s fucking hard.

Is it possible to win a war with an army of one against the seemingly undamaged souls?

Do I give up?

Do I keep trying to educate?

Is there any point?

For I am the one who feels the pain.

I respect and care for them.

Do they respect me?

wrote this a while ago in hopes of touching people's hearts and encouraging them to understand.

Lost

On my own

No one sees me

Erased from all-time

Left in my darkness

Yesterday was my dream LONELY

This poisonous evil has invaded our bodies, causing us pain that can reach unbearable heights. Little do others know that its greatest achievement is the excruciating pain that affects our hearts and souls. Each flare-up diminishes the reflection we see of ourselves day by day. It leaves us feeling useless and deflated, desperately searching for any remaining butterflies that once gave life to our souls.

Exhausted by the pain and grieving for the sorrow reflected in our loved ones’ eyes, we are driven apart. This illness kidnaps our joyful moments—days out, holidays, and family gatherings that can no longer happen.

So, when people see us in pain “for no apparent reason,” or wonder why the house isn’t clean, why we sleep during the day instead of at night, or why we cancel plans and don’t respond to calls or texts for days, we ask for kindness. We are suffering deeply inside.

Please check in on us, as loneliness is becoming the norm, adding more poison to the already devastating impact of fibromyalgia
