For several years now, I’ve been using a parametric counter tray model I wrote for OpenSCAD to store my wargame counters. I figured the community might find it useful too, so I created a web version to make it accessible to as many people as possible. It’s completely free, no ads, no need to create an account, no cookies: just the functionality. The code is released under the MIT License.

For the model itself, I chose the most compact design possible, so there are no magnets for the lid it stays closed by friction. I chose to include windows in the bottom of the tray and in the lid to provide the best visibility of the contents. With the default settings, there’s enough space between the slots to remove the counters one by one, but you can also push the entire stack out through the rear window.

The default settings for the “Structure” and “Lid” sections are what I consider optimal and use for virtually all my prints, but feel free to experiment and adapt to your needs. You can set the dimensions of the tokens up to 100 by 100 mm, which also allows you to create card deck holders. Your settings aren’t saved, but they’re included in the tool’s URL. Simply bookmark the page to keep them.
