Resigning from a toxic workplace.

I(25M) have been working in a healthcare org as a doctor for a year.

This was my first job and I was very excited for it.

But after some months I realised how toxic the team is.

Not the other colleagues but the technical team, admin and HR is a piece of sht.

The HR is also the head of the organisation and they don't allow us to contact the owners also. That's how bad it is. Just like a Lala company.

They are never worried about patients well being they just want to cash in more money.

For eg:- for a patient surgery is the only option and no amount of conventional treatment is going to help them, If I tell this to the patient and the patient goes to a hospital and quits his treatment with us, As we don't have facilities for surgery, the team becomes furious over it and then they will start to harass us by giving more patients to us intentionally even if some other Doctor is free.

Also very unprofessional to talk to, they have no class or shame. They once forced me to visit the workplace in the middle of a thunderstorm which caused me a minor accident. When I told the HR they just brushed it off and left it on seen.

They force us to treat patients even when the patient doesn't even need treatment. There's more stuff but I can't put it out here(sorry for that)

One of the doctors had an accident and the first thing they asked was is the company provided vehicle okay, no concern about employees.

Something snapped in me today, there was a patient who required some scans done for further treatment so I cancelled their appointment today and told them to come once they get their scans.

After knowing about this the team got furious and instead of asking the reason for the cancellation they blamed me very disrespectfully etc etc,

I said you are free to come here and see the patient's condition and judge for yourself on why I sent the patient back.

To which the team replied as I'm coming in a grunty voice,

Then I said :- kabtak aaoge(when will you come?)

they replied:- Aa rahe hai(we are on the way)

Then I replied:- Gaadi bheju kya lene ke liye.(Should I send a vehicle to pick you up?)

Then they cut the call.

Something snapped in me at that moment,

I'm a doctor with good rep and skills, my family is decently rich so they don't rely on my salary, I've studied in a prestigious college, I have plenty of job opportunities, so why am I working for these fools.

Now the HR has called me to a meeting tomorrow, when I asked what the meeting was for they said that you've worked with us for a year so it's our policy to hold a yearly meeting.

Now I know the meeting is for today's matter, but these fools don't even have the guts to tell me what the meeting is for.

I've already written a resignation letter on a piece of paper just saying this is my resignation letter and I'm ready to serve my notice period from now. I didn't even care to write a proper letter cuz I don't even think these unprofessional idiots deserve a neatly written letter.

Not only that I'm going to point out each one of their stupid actions until now. Fck being silent to these idiots.

I'm going to escalate the matter as much as I could verbally.

I don't even care what they do/say.

My dad is very much politically connected but I've never in my life used his influence to get over such things but I'm going to involve him if situation demands cuz fck the idiots.

I'm generally a very calm person but fck being calm.

Thanks for reading my rant... Hushhhh

TLDR:-

Started my first doctor job with excitement, but over the year realized the organization is toxic, unethical, money-driven, and disrespectful toward both doctors and patients.

After today’s confrontation over prioritizing proper patient care, I finally snapped, decided to resign, and stopped caring about staying silent or “professional” with management anymore.
