What are nice towns near Stavanger to visit by train?

I noticed theres a lot of small towns when I took the train to Stavanger today. Im really interested in visiting not so well-known towns with nice sceneries. Does anyone have any nice or niche suggestions of towns near Stavanger to visit by train?

Employer refusing to give salary after working

Hi im a student and i applied for a part time job at this well known bakeri in Oslo. The owner asked me to do a paid trial shift working 5:30am-12:30pm for one day. I did that a few weeks ago and i’ve been trying to email, send a text message and even calling her to ask for the payment. She has been ghosting me and from how I see it, seems like she’s ghosting me so she doesn’t hve to pay me.

When I worked for the trial shift I met the other bakers and they have been paid very unfairly. The bakers are all foreigners so they weren’t familiar with the employment rights in Norway so they didn’t complain. Im also a foreigner so I feel like that’s why she took advantage.

The other bakers are still new and I was wondering why everyone was new since the bakeri has been around for 5 years already. Turns out the others quit because they can’t stand the owner’s unfair behaviour taking advantage towards foreigners. Anyway does anyone know what I can do in this situation since she’s ghosting me about the trial shift payment. I don’t want her to get away with this and expects me to do some ‘volunteering labor’ that we never agreed on.

Got a fulltime offer but may fail to graduate on time

I got a fulltime offer at the biggest bank in this country im in as an Engineer (im an international student). Company size is 10k+

Im supposed to graduate in June 2026, however I may fail a subject and need to graduate in December 2026 instead to retake a subject. I dont need to go to class, just need to take the exam.

The hiring manager gave me a verbal offer in early June and asked when I want to start. She said earliest for me to start would be 2 months later in August since they are gonna go on vacation in July. I asked her what would happen ‘if i fail to graduate in time’ and she said she’s not sure and needs to check with HR.

I was wondering to either:

-delay my start date to December
-ask for part time from August - December, before turning it fulltime after

Im an International student so under my study visa, I cant work fulltime before receiving my degree completion

The department is a new department in that company and I was wondering how I should approach this situation? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
