Headboard or no headboard?

Moving into my nyc apartment soon and trying to pick out a bed. I know I want a wooden platform bed with storage space underneath, but the big question is headboard or no headboard?

I intend on getting a curtain track to cover the whole back wall (thoughts?) does having a headboard covering the window mess the room up as much as I think? Or will that look too unfinished/ collegy? Is no headboard a bad idea since the windows are recessed?

I’m looking at getting the flexispot frame. Does anyone use it without the headboard? I’m worried about having a big gap.

Let me know! Open to all suggestions.

Bed against window… headboard or no headboard?

The photo is how the current tenant has the room. It’s a full bed but I would be switching it out for a queen. I was thinking about not using a headboard so as not to cover the window but will that look too collegey? I’m looking at a wooden platform bed just the frame. Does having a headboard mess the room up as much as I think? Is no headboard a bad idea?

I’m interested in getting the flexispot frame. Does anyone use it without the headboard?
