I miss old Urban Outfitters

I used to shop at urban in like 2017-2020, and I remember their quality being amazing for the price point. My sister and I still wear our sweaters we bought in those days. And we wear them every single winter. I think I almost exclusively shopped there as a teenager. It’s just such a shame because now I’ll walk into a UO store and 95% of it is over-priced garbage. Remember when they admitted they over-priced their items and literally lowered them? What a joke. Take me back 🙏

Suggestions for adding name/initials to this piece?

Hi everyone! I am currently knitting a baby blanket for a friend of mine and her newborn. I was planning to add her daughter’s name using surface crochet, but the area that I would do it in is ruffly because of the pattern! Didn’t think this through enough clearly. Adding a photo of my current progress.

Should I just do the name on the ruffly part? Or should I do a band of garter stitch so there is space for a name, or would that look too weird/out of place? Would initials make more sense if I did it on the ruffly part?

I appreciate any help and thoughts!

The pattern is Heirloom Stitches Baby Babar and the yarn is Caron Blosson Yarn Cake from Michael’s :)
