How do you know when it will hurt someone’s feelings to be honest

I am honest quite a lot and have hurt people’s feelings without meaning to quite a lot. I think then they think I did it deliberately when I didn’t. How do you know if you will hurt someone’s feelings?

I am thinking I need to talk to people less to prevent this but then I am not talking to anyone. I can’t mask. I already have no social life, just support workers. I like when I meet people who know I am not trying to hurt people’s feelings but not everyone is like this.

Sad that my family can’t meet my needs

Has anyone else had the problem with family not being able to meet your needs and needing to process you can only rely on support workers?

My dad died nearly 10 years ago and I increasingly started struggling more and more from the loss of his support. I got support workers two years ago finally after autism diagnosis five years ago but my family still don’t understand my struggles. It is really isolating. I was late diagnosed. My support workers are all really understanding, I am sad my family can’t meet my needs. It makes it feel like there is something wrong with me that only support workers can be supportive and help me. I didn’t expect my dad to die and I had to learn after he died I was autistic with quite high support needs that nobody else could meet. No support was enough that I got from my family. I ended up in bad situations that could have been avoided. Even with my support now I struggle all the time and it’s hard to accept that my family can no longer meet my needs when they were met before :(

Carers mental health group

I am a patient at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital (psychiatric hospital) and soon to be discharged. I am looking for a group my mum and I could attend together for her to understand more about mental illness and how to support me. I am also autistic.

How to find out about current popular TV shows

I don’t use Tiktok and I can’t seem to find TV show recommendations on Instagram. I have no friends but would like a way to be able to get TV show recommendations from people my age (I am 27) without Tiktok which is too overstimulating.

Does anyone know ang assistance dogs programs which operate in Scotland? For context, I don’t have my own dog so the organisation would need to train it. I have looked at some assistance dog organisations aready but they say you need to be based in England. I would really appreciate finding out about some that allow people in Scotland. For context, I am diagnosed autistic but also have severe mental health issues for which I am sectioned for currently. Thank you.

Would you recommend nursing?

I am currently sectioned in hospital with mental ill health but looking towards the future, I think I need more to keep me going. I have been thinking an assistance dog or maybe training to be a nurse? I am in Scotland so I would get a bursary and both my grandmothers were nurses so it runs in my family. Is anyone here a nurse, what kind, and would you recommend it? I have an autism diagnosis, with that how easy is it to get accommodations as a nurse?

Life after major surgery

I may be needing major surgery. I have been in hospital three days already and my health hasn’t improved. I could need a liver transplant. I am scared because I would need to take medications strictly at the same time every single day for the rest of my life and I will need to attend a lot of appointments. I am NHS diagnosed with autism and ADHD and have autism support workers already. I am 27. Doctors have suggested having more support after hospital which would be really needed. Does anyone know how life looks affer a surgery like this? Any advice?
