inboxes - a self-hostable inbox for your Resend domains. Threading, unlimited users, shared aliases, and now an MCP server!

inboxes (dot net) is an open-source inbox for Resend domains. Paste your API key, it imports your full history, and every domain gets a real inbox: threading/aliasing, full-text search with things like from: & has:attachment, undo send, scheduled send, snooze, rules, shared aliases with roles. Discord-style nav to switch domains, Gmail shortcuts throughout.

I've just released an MCP server, I know how AI can land but I'm still not very trusting of it, so it works the way I'd want it to -

The agent can read, search, and write drafts - not send (by default). Agent sending is an org-level switch. It's meant to work in tandem with the GUI inbox as a helper, not to own your mail autonomously (although for those inclined I'm sure(?) it could haha).

And without adding a key and installing the mcp there is no AI in the product at all - the inbox itself is 'boring' - how I like it! (why MCP took 5 months to release).

Self-hosting notes, since that's why I'm posting here:
- Setup is git clone, cp .env.example .env, docker compose up -d
- Standard Postgres. Export your data anytime.
- Your Resend API key is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never leaves your instance
- No public URL? Auto-poll mode syncs mail on a schedule instead of webhooks
- Invite-only by default - local instance has no open signup page
- Same feature set as the hosted version, MCP server included

I really made this for me as 'forever user #1'. But I have loved running an open source project and finding (the few) people who have been using it for months! This is my first open source thing and it's been going great so far, please go easy on me haha

What would stop you from running this? What could be improved or added? I'd love any feedback!

Does anyone else think about deployment visually like this?

I recently figured out one of the biggest problems i have had while deploying is really knowing "can i be seen from here". I've heard things like learn the shooting lanes but...what shooting lanes? for 45 layouts? Seems impractical and I don't even know where to start.

A laser pointer would probably be okay but then i have to basically beam around before deployment and delay things for everyone...

Looking at this it just became so clear where is safe and now i can just look at this right before a game for a refresher of where i should be looking to be in deployment and maybe ~ turn 1.

Maybe pros all see the game this way natrally but I don't... haha

What's the 'next step' from here? like I can kind-of see on the right side of this one it makes a 'relatively safe path' for a turn 1 move to be safe from their deployment zone...

I realize this is basically just showing "hide behind terrain" but it's not exactly that - because which terrain, and where, seems to matter a lot.

40k Layouts in Discord!

Hey everyone,

Harrison here (the guy behind the rapid ingress app)...

I went and made another little tool and wanted to share it, as my first one has been tremendously received. This all started because my first post here on Reddit gave me the confidence that I had built something new, that people really enjoyed and found value from! (❤️ - thank you all so much for the love and support!)

Today I'm releasing (someone already found it lol) - a Discord bot that lets you post images of layouts on the go and in your server!

just invite the bot (linked) - no crazy permissions, nothing flashy, and done!

You type /layout or /table to select dispositions, choose the layout, and choose to get a clean image of the board with deployment zones and terrain OR one with the terrain measurements included, for easy reference anywhere you have discord! you can also click links from /layout to open the deployment planner directly on the web app, or from the /table view go to the layout reference page with large zoomable images of all the layouts - both open to anyone without an account as well.

If you want to try it out there's no registration for the discord bot either or anything - will always be free and as permissionless as possible, and it's currently live in my server (obviously) for anyone who wants to check it out before they install it!

As with everything I would love feedback, comments, ideas, criticism - it's all a gift.

Again, thanks to the community - it's been my goal to make the best tools that help as many people get better at 40k as possible (myself included lol), and this is just the most recent thing I made for myself and wanted to share.

Happy Thursday!

11th edition maps / layouts live on Rapid Ingress app (LOS + Deployment tool)

Hey all -

Late last year I got back into 40k after a 20 year break, played in my first tournament, learned I was not very good, and decided to get better, all in a weekend!

I had more or less no idea what I was doing strategically, and I went to look for something that could help me "learn the maps" and get better at navigating the layouts, planning my deployment, and forming a strategy for my games.

Fast forward a week later and I couldn't find anything that worked for me so I built and launched this app ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/1pp2nby/would_anyone_find_something_like_this_useful/ )

As of last night the rapidingress.com app has been completely overhauled to work for 11th edition!

All 45 layouts (A,B,C for each of the 15x dispositions combinations) are now in there for your perusal.

And the look has been revamped to align the terrain features to the new gw style that dramatically improves the feel of it (I may be biased there haha)

You choose you and your opponent's force dispositions to reveal the layouts for that combination, or can get a random selection from one of the layouts.

The app, ALL layouts, and LOS/deployment tool are free to use for anyone!

As always, would love any feedback you have, suggestions, bugs, comments, questions, etc.

Thanks to everyone in the 40k Competitive community who's already using the app, providing feedback, and supporting to get to this point (hundreds of you! ❤️)
