Side effects 30 days in

I was on 1.5 for 30 days- completely positive symptoms, lost 5kg. No cravings, full quickly. I was finally happy and hopeful about my weight loss after many years of watching the scale go up and down.

30 days in I got diarrhea after a meal, no big deal. The next day, diarrhea multiple times, extreme tiredness, nausea. I had to call in sick to work for 4 days.

I came off of the pill on day 2 of my sickness, now it’s been over a week of not taking it and I am still not right..

I’m so upset, I am not comfortable using public facilities/work facilities to use the bathroom. I want to go back on the tablet, but if they caused it I don’t know if I will be able to handle the side effects again. Would I even necessarily get side effects? After 30 days without, I was very cocky that I was one of the people that didn’t get them lol

Feeling super happy so far- as someone who was hesitant, fearful, and disbelieving

I am 23f (started at 92kg) and have lost 3kg in the first 3 weeks! So happy to be back in the 80s.

The first dose has halved my portion sizes consistently and has given me near zero side effects- I get a little nauseous if I eat something I shouldn’t.

I no longer feel the urge to eat breakfast- I get peckish at around 1pm now.

I used to eat sweet treats at lunch and dinner, and would experience severe cravings. Now I still have a little ice cream after dinner but it’s more of a choice than a straight up craving.

I very rarely feel the need to snack- I used to look forward to meals and use them as milestones to get through my day- I don’t do that anymore, meals are just something I have to do now to not be hungry. I feel like my brain is finally wired like a normal persons.

I used to be one of those people that could just eat and eat and push my limits, before I started wegovy I would joke that my appetite and boredom would push past the medication effects (if I was wrong, trust me you will be too!)

I am so excited to carry on and so happy the pill is working this way for me so far.

Should I go up a dose?

I’ve been on 1.5mg per day for around 2.5 weeks and need to re-order now- I’m currently experiencing near zero negative side effects (occasional mild nausea) and am eating like 1000 calories a day and feeling super full up.

I’d want to stay on this path ideally but I’ve seen others say that they made a mistake by not going up a dose, what do you think?

I have previously got my boyfriend some pretty ‘unique’ gifts and usually pride myself on it. He likes the gym, PS5, football, outdoors, his car, cooking, streetwear, travelling, and tech.

He is not into fragrances, jewellery or not much into ‘sentimental’ gifts.

In prior years I feel like I keep getting him good stuff, now I feel like I’ve exhausted all options.

Examples of ‘good/notable’ gifts I’ve got him in the past-
A molecular cooking set
A survival kit
A car bundle (lights, new licence plate, CarPlay, sprays etc)
Ninja creami
Portable espresso machine
AirTag wallet

He really wants meta ray bans but only in the future when they come out with AR- so that’s not helpful yet- but gives an idea of the type of tech he thinks is cool.

It’s his 25th birthday soon and I want it to be special- maybe 2-5 gifts or less if they are really good- budget of £500.

Please help!!
