Why are there no travel shows in the travel channel? Its always ghost and haunted house shows

Do any of you accountants “audit” peoples lifestyles? Particularly, non-accountants.

I see peers (parents from kids school) living lifestyles that i cant for the life of my figure how they afford on what i assume is an income similar to mine. I know there are a lot of variables i am not privy to - this isnt lost on me.

I do my best to budget, invest, and live below my means and at the end of the month, i feel like there isnt that much to show for it - at least cash-savings-wise.
Although, when i do my monthly balance sheet my net worth steadily increases, largely driven by the market, so i know my lifestyle sacrifices arent for nothing.

Are so many people really saving zero and living on the credit card?
