1700 miles, ABS, new tires from current (2nd) owner, no maintenance records

I’m looking for a good starter dual sport/adv bike for mostly on road, and some light off-road. I’m 5’10”, 170lbs, US based. My search criteria are:

1. Must have ABS

2. Must be low mileage OR reliable enough that 20k+ mileage won’t pose much of an immediate maintenance concern

3. Preferably cost me under 5k

Currently looking at a 2003 BMW F650GS, ABS, <2,000 miles, top box, hand protectors, engine bars, aftermarket footings. Current asking price $3900

I was originally looking for a used Honda CB500X. Having a hard time finding a used one with ABS for under $5k, and most in my area have 15-20k miles already. I noticed numerous low mileage f650gs near me for much more reasonable prices, and started taking interest in them after reading people talk about how reliable they are.

Would a F650GS be a good alternative, or would I be better off finding a higher mileage Honda without ABS? What should I expect for maintenance and parts cost for a BMW this old? Also how’s the price?
