So I first found out about rdr2 about 4 years ago on yt and ever since this has been my dream game. I used to watch countless videos on yt and read many posts about this game on reddit and I used to get so excited about it. The graphics, the immersion, the realism used to make me so excited about it.

I bought this game last month and after playing it for 30 hours, I don't know why I am not getting that level of excitement about this game anymore. It was so amazing initially but now I feel like I am getting tired of it's horse riding, the open world feels so empty. I played gta5 before it and I feel the open world of gta5 is so much more interesting than rdr2. The variety of vehicles, the weapons, side activities of gta5 are so amazing. I have even completed it to 100% with more than 200 hours of playtime.

The realism in rdr2 is the double edged sword. We can't have all the weapons with us every time like gta, we have to take care of our horse's stamina and Arthur's health from time to time. The shooting also doesn't feel very smooth.

I boarded the hype train of rdr2 4 years ago and now I am asking a question to myself, is it overrated?

It feels like the Breaking Bad of the gaming world. I feel so bad that I can't enjoy it as much as it's fans do.

Would like to hear others' opinions on this game.
