I built a Fujifilm recipes app for iOS + Android

Hey everyone,

I’m a software engineer and Fujifilm photographer, and I’ve been working for a long time on an app for Fujifilm film simulation recipes.

I love shooting with recipes, but I wanted an easier way to save them, organize them, and use them when I’m out with my camera.

You can connect your camera with USB-C, and the app will read the recipes already on your camera. From there, you can edit them, create new ones, or browse community recipes and apply any recipe you want to your camera in one tap.

You can also build your own recipe catalog and organize it however you like. It should support most modern Fujifilm cameras, so feel free to try it. If you run into any issues, I’ll be happy to help.

There’s also a RAW render tool, which lets you open your Fujifilm RAW files and apply any recipe to them with real Fujifilm color. It’s been super useful for testing looks, editing RAWs, and deciding which recipes I actually want to use in-camera.

The app is free to download and includes some free features, and there’s also a paid version if you want to unlock the full potential of the app.

I’d really appreciate any feedback, ideas, or honest thoughts from the community.

Thanks for checking it out.

Edit Follow Up : Thank you everyone for the positive feedback and the suggestions, I noted everything and I will be working on them as soon as possible. Also as a small teaser: next week I'm releasing a new feature to the app that you guys will love so stay tuned !

Hey everyone — first time posting here

I'm fellow Fuji shooter and software engineer. Like a lot of you, I've spent way too many evenings copy-typing recipes from blogs and Instagram into my X100VI menu, one setting at a time.

So I built Fuji Recipes — an iOS app that lets you plug your camera into your iPhone over USB-C and push a recipe straight to a custom slot in seconds. No more thumbing through menus.

A few features that app have:

  • A community gallery where shooters share their own recipes (with sample photos)
  • A local library to save your own unlimited recipes
  • A "Studio" mode that re-renders your RAFs in-camera using any recipe — real Fuji color science, not a LUT
  • Works with X100VI and most X-Processor 5 bodies
  • Many other features

It's been live a couple of weeks and the response has been amazing. Would love to hear what this group thinks — what's missing, what's broken, what would actually make your shooting day easier.

Edit: android version is coming out next week.
