Prank war between the main couple on page !! | enemies to lovers/ rivals to lovers

i do love a good prank war, but i specifically want it between the main couple 😭ON PAGE !!!

and i want the pranks to actually happen on page, not just be mentioned as something they used to do before the book started.

{The Devious Husband by Catharina Maura} kind of gave me this vibe. the mcs are rivals and throughout the interconnected standalone series people keep mentioning the insane pranks they pull on each other, and honestly it built them up SO well in my head before their actual book.

but what i really want is to SEE the prank war happen in their own story.

i’ve also read {Becoming a Vincent by C.M. Owens}, but that felt more like family chaos pranks. i want the pranks mainly between the couple.

would love:
• enemies to lovers / rivals to lovers
• lots of banter
• competitive energy

prefer standalone books, not long series.

hard no:
• historical
• huge age gaps (especially if they’re young)
• bdsm

fantasy isn’t a hard no, but i’m really more in the mood for contemporary romance right now.

any recs??

Edit : somebody is downvoting my comments, which is me thanking people for recommendation,
They did the same thing with my previous post.(my account is not even public. I don’t know how they’re finding my post alone.)
I don’t know what is happening. Let’s talk about it. Still no hard feelings.!

Edit: I’m not sure if someone is repeatedly downvoting and upvoting or if Reddit is just glitching, because the votes have changed multiple times within like 10 minutes and I refuse to believe someone is that jobless.

anyone else read faster on kindle?

i’ve noticed that i always finish books faster on kindle than physical copies.

at first i ignored it because i thought maybe it depends on the writing style, page formatting, font size, etc.

but then i noticed it even with the SAME book.

{Twisted Hate by Ana Huang} is one of my comfort rereads. the first time i read it was on kindle, and later i bought the physical copy and reread it. even though i already knew the story, i still took way longer reading the physical book.

and this keeps happening to me ,or do they remove some non-important chapters of pages from between?
The weird part is when I am reading 400 page books on Kindle I finish it within a day.(400 pages should at least last me two days.)

does this happen to anyone else or is my brain just wired differently with ebooks?

Mmc accuses fmc for using him for money —> FMC is richer than God

looking for a very specific trope.

I want a book where FMC is accused by MMC that she is using him for Money, status, lifestyle, etc. But she is richer than God, shows him his place and walks away.

i want the mmc and fmc to be in some kind of romantic or sexual relationship by the time the big accusation happens, but they do NOT need to start that way. they can begin as enemies, coworkers, friends with benefits, enemies with benefits, or anything similar.

at some point (usually because of a pregnancy or another major event), the mmc accuses the fmc of trying to trap him for his money, lifestyle, or social status.

and then the fmc absolutely puts him in his place because she is actually much richer and more powerful than he is. she just keeps a low profile, so most people have no idea who she really is.

i read a book with a scene like this before where the mmc accused her of getting pregnant to trap him, only to find out she was wealthier than he could ever imagine, and i LOVED that gut punch.( cannot remember the book name.😩)

would love:
• confident, sassy, feisty fmc with a backbone
• enemies to lovers / enemies with benefits
• lots of banter
• satisfying grovel after he realizes how badly he messed up(not too much that it takes the whole Book)

hard no:
• historical romance
• fantasy
• bdsm
• huge age gaps (especially when the characters are young)

I don’t want maya alden books(I don’t know what it is, her book plots are something I usually like reading, but I don’t vibe with the books 😅)

any recs??

Edit : just remembered { his empress by Emilia rossi } fmc steels mmc money from his bank as a prank( which she returned it back like in seconds knowing she went to far)and he accused her of taking advantage and said pretty mean stuff later in realised her net worth is 10 times more.

Edit: I don’t know who is down voting My comments which are basically me thanking for recommendation.
Just send me a message so we can sort this out, no hard feelings

Multiple forced orgasm!

looking for romance with a very specific spice trope: forced orgasms (fully consensual) do not mistake it for non-con

what i mean is when the fmc is already completely spent and trying to get away, but the mmc holds her down and keeps going until she has multiple more orgasms( it is not always after a sexual act. It starts as a multiple or orgasm as well ) usually she’s a shaking mess by the end 😵‍💫. Also, love it when the FMC tries to get away, but cannot because mmc is holding her down , keeping her open.

i especially love it when he does this because she refused to do something or was being stubborn, and this is his way of persuading her 😭

would love:
• enemies to lovers
• confident, sassy fmc with a backbone (no doormats)
• lots of banter
• found family

i’m mainly looking for contemporary romance and i love standalones.

i’ve already read {Belonging to the Mountain Man by Gemma Weir}, and i loved this exact dynamic. there’s a scene where the fmc isn’t ready to sleep with his cock inside her, so he persuades her with multiple forced orgasms, and that was exactly my kind of spice.

hard no:
• bdsm (a little light power dynamic is fine, but i’m not into hardcore 50 shades-style books)
• historical romance
• age gap over 10 years (especially if the characters are young)

fantasy isn’t a hard no, but i’m probably not in the mood for it right now, so it may just go on my tbr.

Edit : can the book be plot plus smut, not just smut😅

any recs?

WWTBC: FMC refuses to eat food provided by MMC until unless he cooks it himself |childhood friends| adult enemies to lovers| workplace romance|

trying to remember the name of a book i read and this is what i remember:

the fmc and mmc knew each other as kids. i think the mmc’s parents worked for the fmc’s family, and when they were younger he used to make homemade sandwiches for her.

years later they meet again. the fmc is broke and basically starving. i can’t remember if she was disowned, lost her family’s money, or left because her parents were terrible people.

she ends up working for the mmc.

the mmc notices that she never eats, so he starts doing things to make it easier for her:
- brings food for all the employees
- buys a refrigerator for the office and keeps it stocked with drinks and snacks so everyone can help themselves
- keeps trying to get her to eat

but even then she still won’t eat.

eventually he asks what he needs to do to make her actually eat, and she says she’ll only eat if he makes her homemade food, like he used to when they were kids. so he starts cooking for her.

i also remember that the mmc volunteers at a soup kitchen.

does this sound familiar to anyone? it’s driving me crazy 😭

His empress by emilia Rossi

I really tried hard to not give any spoilers,
just finished {His Empress by Emilia Rossi} and wow… this book kept me up all night 😭

i started reading around 8 pm and didn’t put it down until 6 am. i used to do this all the time when i found a really good book, but it honestly hasn’t happened to me in over a year.

It is third book in the interconnected series.

it’s a mafia romance with:
• secret identities (first 15 to 20% of the Book)
• short affair ( with secret identities, they didn’t know the other person belong to a mafia family)
• accidental pregnancy
• marriage of convenience

the book was surprisingly funny and had a lot of banter, but also some genuinely emotional moments that made me cry.

the backstory was done really well too. i never felt like “okay, when is this going to end so we can get back to the actual story?”

there’s also a rescue wolf named Volk, which literally means “wolf” in Russian, and he was such a cute addition. Loved him and was not a prop he was involved in story plot a lot.

other things i loved:
• found family
• a really good gut punch moment
• actual redemption, not just pointless grovel

the fmc is a hacker and the mmc is a mafia boss, which was a fun combo.

the mafia plot itself was kind of mid, but the romance carried the whole book for me.

overall, i absolutely devoured this one. 4 ⭐️

Bully romance | no doormats over here

looking for bully romance recs (mm / mf / rh all fine)mf is preferred

if it’s rh, i want proper mm included, not just one main focus. i like when all dynamics are explored, not just fmc with each

prefer college/younger characters. older characters doing bullying just doesn’t hit for me… like at that point, grow up 😭

(open to mafia or other settings if it still makes sense as bully romance)

what i want:

• mmc doing the bullying

• fmc who is NOT a doormat, she talks back and holds her ground, no soft fmcs

• jealousy (love this)

• okay with dubcon

hard no:

• noncon

• fantasy

• historical

• age gap

• no stalking (mmc or third party)

• no time jumps or back-and-forth timelines

also please keep the line between dark romance and straight-up erotica horror… sometimes they get mixed.

I also like when fmc reacts to the bullying in anger and maybe revenge, make mmc jealous and he just crossed the line way to much she become cold and aloof and ignores him (it’s not a must -looks like lite-bullying )
I do not mind full bully but please draw line in non con

Would prefer standalones ( do not have patience to read a full series right now

books i’ve already read:

{Brutal Obsession by S. Massery} loved this book

{Bully by Penelope Douglas}okay

{Lawless God by Lola King}loved

{The Lords by Shantel Tessier} just read the first

{Even If It Hurts by Sam Mariano} (too extreme for me)

{Hateful Vows by C. Hallman}

these are the ones i remember right now, will add more if i remember
No rina Kent books read them all.
And no Ao3 and Wattpad 😬

Should i read bane by lj Shen

Read the first 3 books in the series a while ago and somehow {Bane by L.J. Shen} is still sitting unread

when i read the blurb, i just… didn’t feel excited enough to pick it up

i LOVE interconnected standalones because i get attached to the friend group and all the cameos/build up between books. but bane not really being part of that original group kinda killed the excitement for me

also i usually prefer interconnected standalones exactly because there’s no cliffhanger and no same couple dragged for multiple books, but still enough connection between characters to make it feel rewarding

it’s literally been like 2 years and this book is just collecting dust at this point 💀

so… should i read it?
please persuade me without major spoilers 😭

I read this book the day it was released and for some reason I don’t remember the details, I just remember I liked it . But not the details
Did it have a non con where they did it in forest , or the fake initiation thing
Or did it not have non con at all or was it dub con

should i read {Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings} 😭

i bought the whole set like 1.5 years ago because booktok would NOT stop talking about it and since then it’s just been sitting there gathering dust

at this point i feel like i abandoned a child 💀 i even feel bad looking at it because i haven’t touched it once and now i don’t even have shelf space for it

but i’ve also heard it has gossip girl vibes and i LOVE Gossip Girl as a show… i just don’t know if i can actually read that kind of vibe

so should i finally read it or accept defeat and let it continue collecting dust

please if it’s major spoilers hide them 😭 otherwise persuade me to read it

how do you imagine characters while reading?

do you picture actors/real people or do you create completely new faces in your head

because i’ll start with one face and then halfway through the book it just… changes for no reason 💀

for me, if the mmc has black hair, my brain just auto loads the viral AI version of Rhysand every single time 😭

if he’s blonde, it’s usually Chris Hemsworth

i’ve tried imagining other actors but it just doesn’t stick

also fmc’s are always kind of… blurry?? like either no clear face or some random AI-looking person in my head

and i avoid fanart a lot because it never matches what i imagined and then it just itches my brain after that

I was reading{scars and trust by miley Howard } Book was fine, I was halfway through it when I saw the artwork, I feel like I would’ve enjoyed the Book more if I have not seen the art.

what do you guys do

looking for arranged or forced marriage where the mmc is actually involved in forcing it, not just family pressure. like he agrees to it or makes it happen

main thing i want:

mmc marries fmc for business or legal reasons and then basically abandons her. sets her up somewhere like a house or estate and just forgets about her once the deal is done (no contact abandonment is a bonus)

then there’s a time gap like 1 year or something where they live completely separate lives. she’s used to being ignored

later, for some reason like a business deal or anything, they’re forced to interact again and the mmc is more present. maybe even apologetic

fmc can go either way: (while she was abandoned)

• she built her own life and is doing well

• or she’s been lonely or hurt

would really like some grovel if fmc was hurt

or it can also go the other way where fmc builds her life, gains power, and once the contract or convenience part is over, she’s the one who leaves or asks for a divorce

I have read a couple of historical with this trope but I don’t remember them

no:

• historical

• fantasy

• back and forth timeline, i want it in order

I repeat no **historical **

anything like this??

I did post this in daily request, recommendation section. Nobody really replied, so I am making it a post.
