[Update] Dexly (Day 4/14) — Full English UI dropping tomorrow! Need a few more testers, I'll test your app back 🤝

Hey everyone!

We are on Day 4 of Google's 14-day closed testing for Dexly (an Android app to trade real Pokémon cards face-to-face with local collectors). I still need a few more testers to reach the finish line, and I will happily test your app in return!

What's new based on your feedback: The Full English UI update is dropping between today and tomorrow! 🚀 Right now, the app's menus are in Italian, but you can already search the entire card database perfectly in English (just set your language in the profile settings). By tomorrow, the entire app interface will be 100% in English.

Here is how to join (3 quick steps):

One small favor: Please open the app, add at least one card to your digital binder, and keep it installed for the full 14 days so Google counts it.

Drop your app links in the comments and I’ll test yours right away. Thank you! 🙏

Ciao a tutti!

  • cercare collezionisti nelle vicinanze;
  • vedere cosa offrono e cosa cercano;
  • confrontare i binder;

Ciao a tutti,

Quindi ho iniziato a costruire Dexly:

L'app è attualmente in **alpha chiusa** e sto cercando utenti precoci disposti a provarla e a dare feedback sincero.

[UPDATE] Day 1 of 14! Closed testing has begun! 🎉 Thanks everyone! + Info on our TCG project

Hello everyone!

This quick update from yesterday's post where I was looking for Android testers for my new app.

First, I wanted to thank you so much: thanks to your response and support, today we officially entered Day 1 of 14 days of closed testing! A big first step towards release.

I invite anyone already on board (and anyone who is simply curious and interested in the project) to check out the app, rate it, and let me know if you like it. Your feedback at this stage is worth its weight in gold.

🃏 What is the goal of the app?

For those who missed yesterday's post: we're creating an app to revolutionize and facilitate face-to-face trading of TCG cards.

We want to solve two major problems for us collectors and players:

Avoid paying unnecessary shipping (which is often more expensive than the card itself) for low-value cards.

Completely eliminate the perennial "package anxiety" (lost, delayed, or destroyed by couriers) when exchanging important cards. Nothing beats the completely secure, in-person exchange.

🌍 From the Italian market to the world

A small clarification: for now, the app's interface is entirely in Italian, and our initial launch focus is the Italian market.

However, we're thinking big: our goal for the future is to expand globally and improve the trading experience for players around the world.

Thanks again to the entire community for their invaluable help. If you have any questions, constructive criticism, or suggestions, I'd be happy to share them in the comments below! 👇

I built a Pokémon TCG trading app to solve a problem I had as a collector — looking for early feedback

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo developer and Pokémon TCG collector, and for the last few months I’ve been building Dexly, an app designed to help collectors find other collectors nearby and trade cards more easily.

The idea came from a problem I experienced myself:

You can have hundreds of duplicate cards, missing cards from your collections, or cards you would like to trade… but finding the right person nearby is surprisingly difficult.

Most trades today happen through scattered Facebook groups, Discord servers, marketplaces, or local communities. The information is fragmented, and often you don’t even know if there are other collectors around you.

So I started building Dexly:

  • 📍 Discover collectors near you
  • 🃏 Show your collection and cards available for trade
  • 🤝 Connect with people who have cards you need
  • 🌎 Build a local community of collectors

The app is currently in closed alpha, and I’m looking for early users who are willing to try it and give honest feedback.

I’m not looking for people to simply say "cool idea" — I’m trying to understand:

  • Does this solve a real problem?
  • Would you actually use something like this regularly?
  • What features would make it more valuable?
  • What would stop you from using it?

I’m especially interested in feedback from:

  • Pokémon TCG collectors
  • anyone interested in early-stage products

If you’re interested in testing it or just sharing your thoughts, I’d really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for reading!

Dexly — trade physical Pokémon cards in person (14-day test, I'll test yours back)

Hey! We're a tiny team building Dexly, an Android app to trade real Pokémon cards face-to-face with collectors near you. We're running Google's 14-day closed test and need people to opt in — I'll happily test your app back, just drop the link.

The idea: you build a digital binder of the cards you have and want, see what people nearby are offering, and set up a fair trade in person.

Being upfront: the app is brand new, so the "nearby collectors" part is still pretty empty for now. What already works well is building your binder and browsing the full card catalog with official images. Right now the app is in Italian, but the card database already handles EN/FR/DE/ES/PT, so English is on the way.

To join (3 quick steps):

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/dexly-open-beta
  2. Open the opt-in link and become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/it.dexly.app
  3. Install from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.dexly.app

One small ask so it actually counts for Google: please open the app 2–3 times over the 14 days — add a couple of cards to your binder and take a look at the radar. Takes 30 seconds and it keeps the test valid on their end. 🙏

Drop your app below and I'll test it back — the Dexly team.

Dexly — trade physical Pokémon cards in person (14-day test, I'll test yours back)

Ciao!

[Update] Dexly — you can now set your card search language (thanks to your feedback). Still testing, I'll test yours back

Quick update on Dexly (trade real Pokémon cards face-to-face with collectors

near you). In my first post I said the app was Italian-only, with English "on

the way" — the card search side is now here. 🎉

As of today's build, you can SET your card search language in the app's

settings (from your profile): English, Italian, French, German, Spanish,

Portuguese. You pick your language once (new users choose it on first launch),

and the card search, set names and images all follow it. So it's not a "mixed"

multilingual search — it's a language you set for yourself, and the whole

catalog adapts to it.

This came straight from tester feedback — a few of you flagged that search was

Italian-only, so it jumped to the top of the list. Exactly what this test is

for. 🙏

To be upfront: the app's interface itself (menus, buttons) is still in Italian

for now. A full English / multilingual UI is something we're considering, but

it's still at the design stage — not in development yet. So for the moment the

menus are Italian even if your card search is in English.

Still running the 14-day closed test, and happy to test your app back — just

drop your link below.
