for my Pokédex !! I’d really like to keep these cards in a toploader as some a quite expensive

Hello everyone! I was planning on buying loose booster packs of Pitch Black but I heard a lot of negative comments about it (like how it is so hard to get a hit). Should i still buy or nah? Saw a good deal that’s why I’m asking lang just in case lol

I’m currently based in the US, and I’m thinking of testing a simple service that could make shopping from US websites easier for Filipinos in the Philippines.

Imagine you’re browsing a US Pokémon website or store and you find something you really want.

You see the price.
You want to buy it.

But then:

❌ They don’t ship to the Philippines
❌ They require a US payment method
❌ You don’t have a US billing address
❌ You only have GCash/Maya or a Philippine card
❌ The product is unavailable locally or significantly more expensive in PH

So you just give up.

I’m thinking: why should being in the Philippines stop you from buying something that’s available online in the US?

The idea is simple:

You find the product yourself.

Send me the link or screenshot.

I’ll buy it here in the US using my US payment method, receive it here, and ship it directly to your home in the Philippines. 🇺🇸📦🇵🇭

You pay me in pesos, and I’ll give you the estimated total cost upfront before you decide.

Basically:

You shop the US.
I’ll be your US partner.

You shouldn’t have to think:

“I can’t buy that because I’m in the Philippines.”

Instead:

“I found it in the US. Let’s see how much it costs delivered to me.”

It could be Pokémon TCG cards, sealed products, Pokémon Center exclusives, special collections, accessories, plushies, or other Pokémon products that are legally allowed to be shipped internationally.

I’m starting very small and just trying to see if this is actually useful to people.

For the first few customers, I’m considering free/discounted shipping as a launch promo while I test the process.

Obviously, some products aren’t eligible for international shipping, and Philippine customs duties/taxes may apply.

If you’ve ever wanted something from a US Pokémon website but couldn’t buy it because they wouldn’t ship to the Philippines or you couldn’t use your Philippine payment method, would you use a service like this?

My partner is a huge pokemon fan and has started collecting the cards around last year. I wanted to surprise them sana with the 30th anniversary ETB and yung ibang bundles kaya lang hindi ako umabot for pre-order and medyo confusing pala yung allocations for it T^T

Will they be selling the 30th anniv items kaya sa upcoming pokemon center pop up? I'm planning na dun na lang sana bumili for me and my partner as a suprise hehe

I see they have some booster boxes and want to know if they are legit, has anyone bought from there.

And are the cards legit packs.

Honestly, I'm very disappointed that this hobby has been reduced to this.

Funny post, but I'm a long time pokemon fan, but I just got into the hobby 2 Months ago the moment I realized I finally had room to do a hobby.

I'm a graduating college student, so I don't have a lot of money yet, but I've already spent 6000 pesos worth of cards (according to Collectr) LOL!

I switched to Japanese and only bought single cards 1 month into the hobby after I noticed my love for Art rares and just good art in general.

After realizing I've spent too much, i placed a 500 pesos limit on myself weekly. Now, I just go for Art Rares that are below 500 pesos which suprised me how many there are.

I'm having a lot of fun collecting beautiful cards so far lol. that's about it.

Let’s make a discussion here. I wanna here some opinions from people here. Oo alam ko expensive na to ngayon, pero diba hindi naman talaga to dapat expensive dahil sa taas ng demand? Inuubos ng mga scalper at resellers yung mga TCG sa mga malls at toy shop tpos ibebenta ng doble at mas mataas sa market value? Dati nakakabili naman ng mga booster packs, booster boxes at ETB sa mga malls pero ngayon halos wala ka na makitang stocks. Kung hindi lang sana napeste to ng mga scalpers at gahaman na resellers, hindi naman sana magiging expensive hobby to.

Hello! Noob post ahead but wala akong kilalang player irl so please bear with me. For context, I started playing pocket early this year, then went on to collect physical cards. My friends and I rip packs for fun whenever we can get some for msrp but ang playing experience namin ay mostly sa pocket lang. Ngayon ewan ko bat parang every pack nakakapull ako ng centiskorch or sizzlipede hanggang sa nakabuo na ako ng set of 4 haha. So now I wanna try building a deck around it but idk where to start.

I think gets ko na ang basic rules of play, but for trainer cards meron bang constant sa decks? Like sa pocket may Oak+Sabrina+Cyrus+Pokeball, meron bang trainers na di pwede mawala sa deck? Also would like suggestions on mons and trainers that could work well with controlled burn. Thanks!
