How does everyone use the sequencer? (Liven)

Hi, I have had and played a few of the livens for a couple of years now and I love them. I still have yet to master them and was hoping to get some insight from other creative people.

I have been wanting to practice riffing basslines that pop into my head, and I want to lay down the drum track first. I can do it and I understand how to at a basic level, but I just haven't been very efficient with it.

For some reason programming them by step individually just won't click and I frequently lose track, so I keep playing it back to remember the change that needs to be made. It's not so bad on the B&B where all the drums are labeled but it slows me down. Maybe others don't have this problem and just program down a basic track like signing a check?

I would prefer to record live but for some reason I make enough quantizing errors that I might as well have just programmed them in. I wonder if people generally prefer recording their drums live.

Killdeer arrived in the neighborhood, and I'm curious

This isn't very important, but I was curious what others think about crow behavior.

So I was trying to identify these new birds that I thought were drunk bats (Killdeer) and while I have never liked them and usually try to scroll past them, this massive AI summary caught my eye.

I'm still inexperienced, but I'm curious on how this sounds. Wouldn't the first two guarantee the crows find the nest, and the third is just basically hope and pray? It feels like this is just sloppy work. It feels like it's completely missing the point of crows' intelligence (especially urban crows who might be more used to humans or know what laundry is)

Special treats for crows?

Hi, I recently noticed how great these guys are and I'm really building a rapport with the groups at my park.

One family of 3 or 4 in particular hang out at my spot and while they go wild for the peanuts I bring, like to treat them occasionally.

I was just curious about what kind of food would be best for this. It's more of a gesture to show I think they're cool if anything, it started when I was eating a vanilla Concha and I made a big deal about ripping it in half and leaving some for them by the peanuts and eating my half and they seemed to like it.

I also noticed they have a bulk budget cat food dispenser and wondered what you guys thought about that vs peanuts. I know they have personal preferences but would they like that more or would it be healthier than peanuts? Best I can do is unsalted roasted if that matters. And it might be cheaper to do cat food.

The new update is awesome! ൠ

Right off the bat there were new cosmetics that were not necessary at all but very cute and nice to have as extra!

The new swirl spawn in animation is so great too! I spawned next to a desert and immediately noticed new "trees" which I didn't think would add so much variety! I also noticed there is a cooldown number on my hotbar which is VERY helpful for quick glances.

I got trunk for my first evolution and stoner for the second and decided to see what all the fuss was about. It's amazing!! I haven't even played 5 minutes and I've already gotten +3 ability and phys permanently. I'm not sure why people seem to be struggling with this move? I'm playing on steam deck and find it to be very fun, it's the only move in the game that takes actual skill and it is pretty easy to predict where it will go if you're retreating, 3rd party, or best yet one-tapping penguins eating 🍎

Maybe because it's not exactly the most common skill players might not be getting enough time to practice with it? I think it's great fun as it is and hope it doesn't get changed to be easier, but maybe if people still struggle and want it to be easier to use there could be a toggle in options, a new genetic, or something optional for those of us (OK maybe just me) that are having fun with it as it is now!

I know there is tons more in this update to explore (I'm most excited for leeches, my favorite evolution) but I've barely started and gotta get back. Just wanted to say thanks for the update and i appreciate all the little extras. Like getting a little note in your lunchbox 🦀
