MMX 330 Pro Appreciation

MMX 330 Pro Appreciation

Coming from the Audeze Maxwell 1 (good sound but better for single player games/story games, and with broken sidetone issue), and Arctis Nova Pro (Mediocre sound but zero issues).

The MMX 330 Pros are just so good, and trump the Maxwell 1s for fps. The wide open sound stage just opens the battlefield right up for that genre of game. The Highs are sparkly and detailed, mids are deeply layered with great separation, and the bass is deep and textured. Gaming and music is a pleasure. My buddy is on the Arctis Nova Pros and I end up telling him where enemy are.

As for comfort, I could roll up and sleep inside those velour ear pads!

Paired with Creative G6 DAC. Love 'em.

Dundalk Town Appreciation Post

My teenaged son and I went to our first Dundalk game last night at Oriel Park v Shamrock Rovers, and it was one of the best football experiences ever.

The atmosohere was next level. The volleyed goal from Wilson was world class... the place went nuts, and we with them. Think I hugged a stranger. The Banks esque saves from Minogue down the other end were things of wonder. A string of magic moments.

On the drive home my tired and delighted son says "Dad we'll have to come back here again". Aye, says I.

Dependng on the game, Ill use a different headset:

  1. Immersive/Wide: MMX 330 Pro.(Battlefield)
  2. Competitive/Features: Nova Pro. (Apex Legends)
  3. Planar Richness: Maxwell 1. (Other, non FPS)

Anyone else do similar?

Sometimes you just want that massive soundstage that open backs headsets give. And without any Maxwell QC issues.

I just got the MMX 330 Pros as the reviews have been great and wanted to hear for myself. I play mostly FPS and this headset is sublime. Masssive open soundstage and excellent spatial awareness, natural and airy, really precise footsteps tracking.

And the best part of all for me - no shit sidetone issues, no hissing (M2 I'm looking at you) and an excellent mic (No brewers droop either!) .

Paired with the Creative Sound Blaster G6.
