So first of all let me go and say, I prefer SSF over market 100%.

It makes looting feel good and important.

It makes me have to do runs on maps I don't play on to mine ore for jewelry, etc...

SSF has a lot of benefits but with it also come a few negatives, the major one being that the game is not ready nor does it have systems to support SSF properly.

Biggest issues right now:

- You get too much unrelated gear. We're adding monk in a couple seasons and as more gear gets added, the equipment drop pool keeps on getting diluted and the gear you want becomes increasingly more rare. There should be some sort of increased chance to get gear that your class can actually use instead of getting 1 usable equipment every 10 I find.

- Workshop is trash. There I said, workshop is really bad and I have yet to meet a single person who likes it. Just keep it goddamn simple. You find 3 epic equipments you cant use? Fine, take them out with you, turn them in for scrap, craft a new epic equipment you CAN use. Stop locking workshops behind boring quests and actually make them usable for SSF.

- Some classes need very specific gems to build right. Example:
Druid needs mostly Diamonds since its a stat heavy class
Wizards need a mix of diamond (knowledge rolls) and Sapphire, etc... It becomes a huge grind to have to find 6+ epics or legendaries OF THE SAME KIND for a single set.

With how PUNISHING it is to die in this game and HOW LONG it takes to actually build a set it's unreasonable terrible to play certain classes in SSF like Wizard, Druid, etc... A potential fix would be allowing you to trade gems in a seller for another gem IE: 1 ruby for 1 diamond or allowing you to purchase gems at a premium (IE: 1000 Gold for a legendary gem or something like that).

- Gold has no utility during SSF.

I'm swimming in gold but due to how hard it is to find enough gems to build multiple sets & find the gear I actually need, I am at well over 20k gold and just don't have anywhere to spend it on. At this point it's just for heals + goblin merchant gamble + gemming stuff.

Gold needs to have more utility for SSF, be it purchasing gems, cost for scrapping stuff in workshop + crafting new gear in workshop, or whatever other utility you can think of that coudl help in SSF, but right now it just feels useless.

It makes no sense. I haven't been able to craft a ring ever since I got to wanderer rank and I'm now a demigod lol. It makes no sense that Green essence doens't drop in HR at all and only in normals.

Can you at least allow us to downgrade essence so we can get green essence if you don't want to add it to the drop pool of HR?

Why am I being forced to play without green jewelry just because im playing HR this is literally counter productive.

So I have well over 3k hours, probably closer to 4-5k if playtest hours + blacksmith hours counted together with steam hours. I'm the kind of guy who exclusively only plays HR and never really touches normals besides early wipe to get what's needed to queue into HR.

But after trying S2R with a couple of mates I have to say, this gamemode is actually so damn fun. Even though I'm what people call a no life HR player I still struggle to win consistently in this gamemode and I still have a blast.

The fights are extremely chaotic, there are no stakes but I still vibe and start sweating at time when I suddenly find literally 10+ different players all fighting around me in the graveyard in ruins.

So many good moments and laughs and tension this mode has alread generated for me really made me love it already.

The only issue I have right now is that:

- The mode is great for gear, I would say it's also more fun than farming HR and still get just as good if not better gear, but will quickly "fall off" once market is back. I find this to be a shame.

- Faustian bargain for this mode feels a bit off, the fights are already so chaotic we really don't need dead players trolling others.

- Increase gear drop rate and reduce trinket drop rate. The idea is so that people can actually get properly geared as they move down to inferno and you end up facing well geared teams all the time instead of people still being half naked by the time they reach inferno even if they managed to loot/wipe the past 2 maps.

Really makes me wonder how much better arena could have been if it was something like this instead so we could fight people with gear instead of being in squire haha.
