I joined this subreddit not a long time ago. At first, it was to share my frustration about my digital art getting flagged as AI slop. But then I saw it was not just a matter of crappy 'AI detector' that consider anything done digitally as AI slop but the mentality of Anti-AI.

Seriously, all Anti-Ai people who pride themselves on being 'pro-art' just look at yourself and do some introspection. It's not a matter of 'art' or 'human input'. You are part of an insane witch hunt. Even now, using a little bit of AI as a placeholder in the creative process (even if it is then being deleted and replaced by a human artist work) is enough for you to smugly call it 'AI slop'. So accept it, it's not a matter of art, not creative process, not the time invested by humans in creation.

You'll consider some crappy stick figure done by someone on a paper as a marvelous piece of art with human soul. Even if it takes 5 minutes to be done. But a digital artist that uses one AI placeholder but sweats and works for 100 hours for a detailed artwork is a soulless slop with no human input and no soul.

Just accept that you don't care about art at all and are just elitist luddite please.

I'm a crapy artist. I don't draw well and spend dozens of hours doing my stuff. I didn't follow any art classes and learn to do things myself.

After 10 years of doing this, without monetization and even rarely posting it on the web (just sharing it with my family, I don't do it for the money; I have a stable job and it's far enough for me)

I thought it could be fun to check what I did (using Krita) to the AI detector...well I was quite surprised, half of them are flaged as AI. I know I'm not good, but come on. If AI scare really continue this way, I might very soon stop drawing at all.

(Fun fact, some pictures I did 10 years ago were also considered AI :/ )

Also I have nothing against AI on itself. I think it can indeed be a great tool to learn.
