Dan B Defends a US president gaslighting his own citizens.

That's not hyperbole. He sat there and shamed those of us who criticized Trump for inviting Iran to take out LA and San Diego.

San Diego has a huge Navy presence, bet that went over well there.

His gig seems to be, "settle down, it's a joke." The problem is, Trump and Project 25 is literally attacking blue states and cities in various ways. Voight's long game is literally decapitating the power of the city.

Maybe I'm old fashioned. I just don't think it's cool that our leader is bent on constantly promoting hate on his own citizens that he is supposed to represent. Imagine Reagan, Bush, Obama, Biden doing something like this. But yeah let's give this president a pass because he spews vomit like this continuously.

File date updated with Rsync through SMB

I'm running a 923+ as a main media NAS (NAS1). It's also a primary backup for another NAS that is where I perform encoding/decoding (NAS2). I've run this arrangement for three years but recently noticed that new files on NAS2 keep getting copied to NAS1. The issue (according to a copilot search) is a recent change to the SMB in DSM that does not retain original timestamps and updates the timestamp with the time of the transfer. Copilot tells me I am out of luck, Synology made this change by stripping out user accessible options for SMB. I guess the only solution is to switch to NFS. This is probably an afternoon of work I would rather avoid. Did Synology rreally strip down SMB to be this unworkable?

The Hospital Scene

In the movie, the hospital Vito is taken to doesn't really seem like a hospital. It seems like more of an old asylum. Generally hospitals today are hallway busy with staff around the clock and you can't make a move without bumping into security or maintenance. Vito's hospital had one nurse and no receptionist at the front desk and the lights seem mostly turned off (as you might expect for an asylum). Does the book give more details about this facility?
