URGENT ‼️ How to leverage another offer to Negotiate with HR who has ghosted me!

~Need urgent advise from fellow brothers/folks~

I have accepted a joining offer from KPMG india(Gurugram)
and negotiated to around 10.3 overall CTC (including variable) for Associate Consultant 2 position.

HR confirmed me that it’s the final that they can offer.
Although the JD for which i gave interview was for a specialist position but since i said 10LPA as my expected fixed CTC, they offered me a bit less and totalling the offer to 10.

HR has aligned a lower and different role on the portal to align my package i believe justifying that i only have 3 years of experience and this is the best they can offer.

Now i have got another offer for hyd location in a product based company for the same role but it’s not that big name/brand like KPMG but it’s a niche business firm in Aviation Operations. They are impressed with me and even are ready to buyout so as to join ASAP. They are setting up new office in hyd and want me part of the team.

I like the offer which I negotiated to 12 LPA fixed but there’s no other component in the offer letter. It’s 5 day working model until probation after which they will give 1 day WFH.

I want to understand what should i do now.
Need suggestions from you folks. Your opinions will help me a lot to evaluate the offer.

I am used to hybrid model culture and delhi ncr is in vicinity to my native (bihar) which helps me to navigate to hometown in case of Family emergencies. also KPMG will add value to my resume.

On the other hand there is opportunity to relocate to hyd in a product based compa for the same role and better compensation and an opportunity to have better exposure.

On MONDAY i will try contacting the HR again via phone call to renegotiate on KPMG offer. If they match up the value i will go for KPMG as it will give me exposure to BIG3 (MBB) during next switch.

Kindly help me to understand how shall i negotiate better offer with KPMG so that i dont have to relocate.

Thanks in Advance 🥲

Hey peeps,

Got a call directly from a HR recruiter for a specialist role at KPMG India (Gurugram location).

She asked me for my current and expected CTC and i put an anchor of 10LPA fixed which is good market rate for my level of experience. (I didn’t ask her the std compensation being offered for the role)

Now after I read the JD again, I did some research and as per ambition box/glass door it was showing around 14LPA -20LPA for 5-8 years of experience.

I know my level of experience is just 3 years but my roles and scope of work will remain as per the JD i believe.

I have passed all the interviews and HR was offering me just 8.5 fixed based on my previous compensation (5.5 LPA) which is underpaid as I was recruited directly through Campus (Non Negotiable)

After all the negotiations, HR has agreed to give me 9.5 LPA fixed and other benefits but I still believe it’s less than the market rate.

I am being offered the role of Associate Consultant (2)

And as per the HR, career Progression looks like: After 1st Appraisal ~ Associate Consultant (3) and if exceptional performance then i will become consultant after 1.5 Years

As my overall experience would be 4 Years and i am an MBA as well.

Can anyone suggest me if this is a good opportunity to move ahead with, am i getting paid fairly? Or shall i negotiate more/ wait for other opportunities??

Thanks to all the folks from Big 4 who are ready to help here based on their experience!!

Hey People,

I am about to switch my company and the new employer is providing joining date as 45 days from date of offer letter.

However, I have notified them that my official notice prd is 60 days.

Can anyone tell me if I negotiate the notice prd to 45 days, will they deduct 15 days from my leave encashment?

If this is the case I will definitely work extra 15 days(for which I will receive salary) and also get complete Leave Encashment during fnf.

If they won’t deduct it,

I will simply reduce it to 45 days and instead get paid more from the new employer for that 15 days.

Can anyone suggest?
