Update to 9 days out runners knee

Update:

Thanks for everyone’s advice spent the time leading up doing the stretches wearing the knee brace. A few sneaky anti inflammatories along the way plus a full anti inflammatory diet.

switched to half marathon turned out to be a mistake ran mostly pain free with the knee strapped with sports tape.

The run was a trail run which ended up being Torrential rain wind and mud ran 1:52 officially after going the wrong way in the last couple of km due to poor signage.

1:48 at 21.1km with plenty left in the tank.

Knee is sore today but now I can deal with it properly with nothing booked for the next few months.

Runners knee 9 days out

Feeling pretty hard done by 9 day out from my first marathon, I’ve done all the training all the hard work and my knee has flared up with runners knee. I guess I’m out don’t think I can push through it. 😭 just looking for some sympathy advice maybe?

Which model should I get

I’m in the market for a Garmin watch I think Apple Watches are fugly.

I run and play golf and listen to music while I’m doing it and I want to be able to leave my phone behind particularly whilst running.

The only features I need are integration with Strava

GPS

Music

And basic golf capabilities (don’t need it to track every golf metric in the world literally just courses and distances)

Also I’m on a budget so cheapest possible in the range would be nice

cheers

Visual maps are nice but not really required.

Twice in 2 rounds. This can’t be real.

Maybe I pissed off the golf gods
