While I also write my own stories(slowly), I've been wanting to test the experience co-writing with someone. I love hearing about other people's ideas (If we even combine them with mine this could lead to something even better)

Basically I want to write a story with someone.

We can propose our characters, world building ideas, plot twists, ideas etc

Let's make sure to share the writing process. Writing is not easy so even if someone brainstorms, I still think it would be unbalanced for the writer so I would prefer sharing both the writing and the brainstorming.

Genres I'm familiar with:

Romance, fantasy, mystery, Supernatural, thriller.

Things I don't think I'll be able to write with:

Sci-fi (Only because I don't know a lot of things about it, if *you* think you're familiar with it enough then I'll gladly join)

If you don't have any idea in mind then how about one of these ?:

-A detective solving a crime

-A futur where AI controls humanity and the MCs are risking their lives to beat it and have their world back to normal

-A zombie world where the MCs will try to survive while finding an antidote to cure the world.

-MCs stuck in a video game and they have to complete all the levels to get back home.

Of course, in a superficial POV, it's actually quite easy since in most médias hot tempered and passionate =Fire, calm and empathic= water, outgoing and chill=Air, Strong and quiet= Earth.

And while it isn't false, I don't think we should categorise it to that. People are complex. Each one has their own facades. You can be outgoing with your family and friends for example but quiet with strangers.

Based on that I'm really struggling to choose an element for each of these characters:

Ashley: Dreamy and boy crazy, Ashley always has a new story (problem) to tell her friends. She's lazy and doesn't listen to other people's advice a lot of times, which leads her to getting stuck in non favorable situations, even if she knew what the outcome would be. She loves her friends and is always supportive of their objectives. Ashley can sometimes be a hypocrite and even manipulative in order to get what she wants. She rarely learns from her past mistakes. Still, she often acts like the mother of the group. She lightens up the atmosphere a lot of times.

Camy: Camy is a calm and collected individual. She serves as the voice of reason, always there to point out when someone's doing a mistake. Camy's also very lazy and can be secretive. While she's considered to be the wisest and the big sister, she still has her own defaults such as her lack of taking action and her tendency to keep things way too mysterious. She doesn't seemingly have any objective in life besides....Existing.

Melie: Considered as the brain of their group, Mellie is a sarcastic, honest but friendly person. She's usually the one to find a solution to outsmart their opponents and is very capable to tell if someone's hiding something or lying. However, even with that, there is a reason why when the group needs help, they seek advice from Camy and not her. Melie is still easily irritated and hates to take any form of disrespect. If she can't defend herself at the moment she waits for the ideal time to get back at whoever did something bad to her. She can be very stubborn and hates to admit her mistakes.

Hannah: Sensitive and polite, Hannah is the shyest member of the group. She greatly admires Ashley. She has the bad habit of being quite naive and too trusting. She can also become way too dependant on others and is afraid of getting abandoned. Hannah however does her best to learn from her mistakes, is a pacifist and can be hardworking too when she has to. Even in the hardest times, Hannah is usually the last to give up. While she's insecure, she has great ambitions that she seemingly won't stop until she achieves them.

From what I've analysed myself, I think Earth may be more suitable to Camy but I'm not sure.

Edit: I realized that I didn't put enough details about the world context so here it is:

In this World, Elemental magic is an ability that can be learned once a person becomes an adult. Before it's impossible.

After a war in which their nation was nearly destroyed, one of the four MCs whose family got attacked by some colonists decided to break a major rule and obtain their magic power before in order to rebel.

But after implicating all their group, the four of them got their respective elements and decide to use it to get their nation's freedom back.
