Hi everyone!
I'm from the Philippines and was recently appointed as one of the officers of our newly formed Grand Choir in our Catholic parish. One of my responsibilities is coordinating rehearsals, schedules, announcements, and—probably the biggest challenge—finding a rehearsal venue.
Our choir has around 25 members, and about 90% of them are students. We rehearse twice a week in the evenings (6:00 PM–9:00 PM) because that's when everyone is available after school or work.
Our parish allows us to use its facilities occasionally, but not every week since they also have to consider electricity and maintenance costs. We've also tried rehearsing in members' garages, but that's not a long-term solution because we don't want to disturb their families or neighbors with several hours of singing.
Our Grand Choir was created to serve during major parish celebrations, diocesan events, competitions, and to help raise the musical standard of our parish, so regular rehearsals are important.
I'm curious, have any of you experienced the same challenge?
I'm not necessarily looking for a free venue. I'm more interested in learning how other choirs or church music ministries solved this problem and built a sustainable rehearsal setup.

My Family doesn't like my Bf kahit wala naman siyang ginawang masama. Now my bf gets defensive about this since he has been the perfect bf for me tapos hindi siya gusto ng family cause he's still studying for Bar exam, second try na niya this year. And they're afraid na kapag nagpakasal kami someday ako lang kawawa since hindi sanay sa hirap bf ko vs ako na breadwinner. Unfortunately, mas pinili ng bf ko i-ignore family ko kesa suyuin sila. What should I do? It breaks my heart knowing they don't like each other and nobody wants to change their hearts and mind.
May pag asa pa ba o wala na? One thing for sure, political dynasty should be banned. And forcing politicians to avail public healthcare system and education should teach them to improve our services. What do you think?

For context, my bf is sooo sweet and thoughtful. May effort siya sa akin pero sa sarili niya, wala. I'm grateful na hindi siya GGSS but nasobrahan na siya sa 'Wala akong pake sa isipin nila' but I do, may pake ako. Lalo na kung family ko na ang may side comments sa poor choices niya sa damit, sa skin niya at sa weight niya. I tried helping him with his wardrobe but naiinis siya. Binabago ko daw siya at hindi daw ba ako kuntento kung ano siya. I'm fine naman kung ano trip niya but kapag aalis kami, ayaw niya mag effort magpa pogi man lang. Katwiran niya may maganda naman siyang gf. Cause I always make an effort to be one!
