How much would I have to pay after the inital payment to stay in the class?

As the title says im a little confused with how lone star payments go. Im looking to take some math classes here and transfer them to my 4 year uni but I have to make a payment in thr first 24 hours to not get dropped. Sure ok but I assume I would have to pay again but what would be the amount be after the inital payment? Im sure I'll only get rough estimates but any ideas from previous experiences would be helpful

In state, only on class, paying out of pocket no finanical aid atm because I need to change my degree plan so I can actually get my fafsa applied to Lone Star.

Odd family dynamic but could be worse so I cant complain just looking for guidance.

A lil background info:

My parents come from complete poverty(father) and suedo poverty(mother). They grew up during the crack epidemic and lived a life most kids shouldn't have to but they made it out and moved to provide a better life for me and my siblings. It worked out, although not completely. Im in college, my older siblings had/have their stumbles but they're coming around when it comes to "getting their head on straight" says my mother.

Real stuff:

My father has always been about his money, after all he had to basically take care of a house with his mother, granny, step grandfather, and his 5 brothers. My mother is a family oriented person, so much so that it may stop her from focusing on and bettering herself. Over the past few years she's made decisions that have more or less blew up in the immediate families face(me, father, mother. Siblings moved out/we kicked out for a multitude of reasons but none that seriously harms any relationships). At this point in time my dad thinks we could do so much more as a family from making clothes to food or literally anything bc we have the tools available but my mother isn't as hustle minded these days. She may go do things like sit and watch people cut a tree at our great grandparents house which doesn't infuriate my father but does bring disappointment. I don't really feel like typing 8+ years worth of stuff but in no way am i demonizing either of my parents, love em to death and they love me and my siblings to death, this is just me being a 20 years old trying to point my family towards a path of prosperity and/with love. I've learned to not put myself in between their spats but shit im an adult or at the very least im not a kid in grade school. I got a job and I want to put something towards the bills so I can insert myself into the financial talks but thats met with pushback from both of them as they want me to save my money so im stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've seen my parents have emotional spats since ive been in elementary school and while ik relationships let alone marriages that have been going on for 20+ years have layers im not going to understand for at least another 10 years, I don't want my parents to feel like they're stuck and cant venture out on business idea(dads side) or feel like they've been holding their family back(moms side). Im already thinking about asking my brother(super artistic)to do some sketches for clothes but I feel like its inly gonna be a bandaid. I fear i may be trying to fix people and not a dynamic when it comes to my parents and I don't feel as if I should but sitting and soley focusing on myself just seems extremely selfish, yet putting down what I've been working towards my whole life to try to change a parents mindset seems like a dumb/disrespectful move. Lead by example is the main place im leaning towards but I wanna know what yall might do in this situation?
