This makes me SO MAD.

While making a quick trip to the supermarket I saw a woman walking her dog at 14:30, so already a very hot part of the day.

We have a heatwave going on in Europe, I live in the netherlands and its currently 39°c where I live.

At first she was walking in the shadow but then she crossed the street and just started walking in the scorching sun on a damn sidewalk. I know that those tiles get very hot quickly.

I confronted her and said that it's very dangerous and irresponsible to walk there at this time and she started a discussion and just got mad stating that she only walks in the shadow, all while standing in the actual sun.

Ma'am I have eyes.

I honestly couldn't believe she just said that and pointed her to the fact that she said that while not walking in the shadow.

She just angrily told me that I need to listen to her because she says she only walks in the shadow, so I just went ma'am you're standing STILL in the sun on extremely hot tiles, I literally see you doing that RIGHT NOW.

she then went well I have to get my dog home somehow.

Then lift up your dog and take it to a spot with shadow and if you can't, it's not possible to walk your dog yet, its not that hard.

Then she started mumbling all sorts of stuff and she walked off, still not lifting up her dog, over a large square with dark tiles.

That dog touched a very hot floor for at least 1.5 to 2 minutes.

And me being on the spectrum doesn't help because now i'm over analyzing the whole situation and stressing out over the fact that I confronted someone and now I feel like a busybody, but i also feel like someone had to say something...
