Japanese infantry with Anvil Industry heads.

Japanese infantry with Anvil Industry heads.

I always try and make my infantry a bit more K47 centric so they are not just ported over from Bolt Action. Here I used the Warlord infantry kit with some Anvil Industry heads. Have also built another squad, some machine gun teams, 2 mine toting guys and an Inspirational Officer from the box.

New Ghost Warriors.

Great addition to the Japanese army for me. Options for Shiboru rifles, smgs and melee on the sprue. Still fit in nicely with the old metals and Warlord resin versions too.

Said goodbye to our rescue cat Snowball yesterday.

Devastated. We adopted Snowball (and his foster brother Alvin) in 2014. Snowball was diagnosed with diabetes in 2018, we are really proud to have gotten so much time with him, I think 17 is a pretty decent age to get to for a diabetic cat. Alvin is also diabetic, but is 4 years younger so hopefully we have a great deal more time with him. It was just sad seeing Snowball slowly decline and he let us know it was time by refusing all food, even the tastiest of treats, for the last 36 hours odd. So hold those fur babies extra tight for us today.

So here is to our bestest boy Snowball.

I never knew that painting Orks could be so much fun. Bad Moon Big Boss.

Long time Marine player, but the Orks were the standout miniatures in Armageddon for me, so here is my first foray into painting Orks for 40k with the Big Boss. Mainly used contrast paints over a black/Wraithbone zenithal with a few layers added after. Skin is simply Mantis Warriors Green, then washed with Biel Tan green shade. Any further mistakes are fixed with Nurgling green.

Guess who didn't look at the Gladiator descriptions before building and painting...

A pair of Thraex, obviously the greaves and helmets are wrong but with the weapon and shield being correct I think it is clear what they are from looking.

B for Bertie

Saw a version where Bertie was bedecked in an Italian flag, so I used that as inspiration to paint them wearing the Union Jack.

Trying out a less Grimdark Trench Crusade look with my New Antioch.

Using Vallejo's TMM Beetle Green (base) for the armour.

Flame On/ Gladiator Stahltruppen

Got my event exclusive sprue painted up. Made the Flamer Firefly into a flamer team and the Stahltruppen has obviously been looting some Roman artefacts.

I am loving this game. All 5 (widely available) starter Armies painted up

Have gone all in with an army started for all 5 factions, and it feels with the increasing amount of plastics things are just getting better and better.
