What am I missing here? I know there is a lot of genre overlap. I'm considering songs that were written as well as performed. Should I have a separate Ballads category? Suggestions appreciated!

So, Prince talked more than once about this. Different occasions women fans would show up at his home or hotel and refuse to leave. Or the famous trenchcoat lady.

And it sounds very Minnesota and very Prince: talking them through the reality of what theyre doing here, and "okay now, I want you to think about this. How would you feel if a stranger showed up at your house, at your work, and..."

I've heard him talk about a handful of these occasions and bandmates mention 2.

Watched Little Richard, James Brown, Prince with my kid- performances and interviews. She piped up "Prince learned it from them". I thought she meant: Good God! Shut up already! The micstand, crawling on the piano, the glittered hair...

She said theyre all talking about freedom and dignity (this last wasn't her term, but its what she was getting at with examples)

School recently tried to persuade her class to use AI to "make art" (she's an artist and musician). She flat refused. She said, theyre trying to make us sheep in school (I know, baby, I know).

Art is the vehicle for the message, convince these kids to outsource it. Don't think, don't create, we will take care of it for you. Its not just scholastic but artistic too. The smothering.

Anyway, I just wanted to say the legacy isn't lost on the kids. Still inspiring, at least one young lady to dig in her heels.

Yall I just watched Coming 2 America.

And they did a routine to Gett Off.

And yall it got me choked up because Eddie and Arsenio wanted their friend represented in their movie. I remember Arsenio being so upset when Sinead was talking bs after Prince died. I had to walk out the room cause I just saw like a reel all those snippets of them: Eddie wearing his Prince tshirt, singing his praises, Arsenio just happy as a clam having him on the show every time talking about their exploits, Prince making jokes about both of them in interviews. Their valentine's stories and basketball and Rick James and being neighbors.

And I know they had to pay for that song.

They represented their friend.

It moved me so.

Is anyone else here going to the show Friday 6/5? I couldn't pass up the chance. I wonder if Miguel is doing a separate set, or is he doing vocals and being backed? Maybe they'll take turns idk

I really want to stay close to caffetto and leaning tower, so I can keep my routine.

Trying to avoid Lynlake.

I'm so tired of looking. A man just showed me a literal closet and called it an office. Another man told me the visibly mold infested bathroom was unavoidable in this climate. I'm talking about on the ceiling, on the walls. And a third man basically fabricated the dimensions of every room. The house was bout 2/3 as big as listed. I measured cause it didnt look right. Missing five hundredish square feet.
