Sony Refurbished PS5 Failed Within 5 Hours - Green Screen Then Shuts Off
I recently received a Sony Certified Refurbished PS5 as a replacement/repair unit. As I had to send in my original console for replacement or a repair, and less than 5 hours into using it, the console started having major issues.
The issue started while I was playing The Last of Us Part II. The entire screen suddenly turned solid green and all audio stopped. After remaining on the green screen for a short period, the console shut itself off.
Since then, the console has repeatedly:
● Displayed a full green screen.
● Frozen completely.
● Shut itself off shortly afterward.
● Sometimes powered on but displayed no video signal at all.
● Occasionally become completely unresponsive to the power button.
I’ve already tried:
● Clearing the system cache.
● Rebuilding the database in Safe Mode.
● Multiple power cycles.
● Unplugging both the TV and console.
● Different restarts.
The problem still persists.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, especially on a Sony Certified Refurbished console? Did Sony repair or replace it?
At this point, I’m leaning toward a hardware issue, but I’d appreciate any input before contacting Sony support on Monday.
By the way, my original console I had to pay the service fee due to my warranty, running out. Is there a possibility where I can potentially get like compensation?
Is anyone else still waiting for Professor Shaw to grade
Professor Shaw for Ethnic Studies 1 is an excellent professor and he clearly knows what he’s talking about.
However, I feel like he takes a bit too long to grade assignments. He hasn’t graded anything I turned in on time since April, and this is the only class I’m waiting on before I can send my transcript to my UC school.
