Playdate bricked after trying to update to 3.0.6

Hi, I was updating my Playdate from what I think was 3.0.3 or 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 today and encountered the error e2 as shown in the image here:

Boot error e2

Pressing A or B just boots back to this screen. Likewise for the reset button under the crank. I tried formatting the data using the Playdate Simulator but the issue still persists. My current folder structure looks like this:

Current Data Disk after format

Data and Games are currently empty. In the recovery disk there is a single file (VERSION.TXT) with the text "59e717f4-3.0.6-release.203858-gitlab-runner" inside.

Is there any way to recover the device by resetting it? My previous Data folder has already been backed up so I'm not worried about losing everything on the device.

I have also contacted support and am currently waiting for a reply from them. I heard that in some cases, a .pdos and .pdkey file may be needed for the reset?

Edit: See images 3 and 4 for steps on the Playdate simulator:

Image 3: Device dropdown window

Image 4: Console used for !help and !formatdata

Edit 2: Tried removing all the files from Data Disk and ran !formatdata again. Also removed the VERSION.TXT file from the Recovery Disk. After booting back to Data Disk the files are created again as shown in the second image and the Recovery Disk has the VERSION.TXT file restored. Still stuck at the E2 screen.

Anyone having issues with the M1+ App?

Is anyone having issues with the M1+ App on Google Play today? There was an update that couldn't install so I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling.

Now the entire app couldn't be installed.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
