Did something happen in the last day or two that has everybody upset?

I feel like I missed something in the news, which is strange because it feels like you can't get away from the news.

I work in retail and I've noticed so many people seem extremely agitated and one straw away from breaking the camel's back angry. I live in the Olympia area and have noticed people driving more aggressively than usual, I've had a few people tailgate me through multiple traffic light intersections and I can't explain what I could have done to end up on the received end of their wrath. I'm an extremely careful driver, I triple check before changing lanes, never drive distracted or under the influence, always use my turn signals, never participate or instigate road rage.

I'm aware that the world feels like everything is on fire right now and everybody is handling different types of stress in different ways, but something seems more off than usual.

Edit: Hey everybody, thank you all for your input. I was hoping this would just turn into a big intertwined convo amongst fellow washingtonians. Glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed.

Stay safe out there and best wishes for the end of the year!

Looking for any media recommendations (books/movies/music/history lit) to prepare for Werwulf 🐺

The trailer for Robert Eggers's upcoming film Werwulf has me entranced and I want to take in as much info as I can before watching it this Christmas.

I'm looking for any media and info about the time period, potentially what country it takes place in, if Eggers was inspired by media specifically for this particular film or if he's recommended any media to take in before watching to better understand the movie.

I'm hella excited for another spooky-ass Christmas movie.
