So basically I joined bba at asmsoc mumbai and I am genuinely liking the whole vibe tbh.

About me... I came here after leaving christ University BLR and tbh christ wasn't that great. Their curriculum is like really shitty. So yeah maybe due to my past experience I am feeling biased towards nmims.

But still even if you haven't had your past experiences, it hasn't been that bad so far. Ik ppl will come and say that SY and TY will be worse and you'll regret it but it has hardly been a month and FY students are already complaining...

Could someone just lmk what's the hate for?!

(P.s. I don't come from a business family so no, not from one of those spoiled kids as ppl acknowledge nmims' reputation for)

I got selected for bba at the mumbai campus. So far every student review related to placements, crowd, faculty is pretty negative...

Which is weird coz as per many websites asmsoc mumbai is one of the best in india and Idk what's the hate for?!

Plus I was pretty shocked to see the type of crowd during the online orientation. Like the kind of remarks made during the livestream was shocking 💀 so I am not even having any expectations from the crowd tbh...

But other than that, seniors pls give me an honest review about the whole thing- the faculty, placements everything ONLY FOR BBA MUMBAI CAMPUS.

I'd appreciate it if the answers are straightforward, unlike the remarks made during the live stream...

The email said that classes will start from the 9th. But in today's orientation the vice chancellor said that classes will start from the 13th. We haven't received any mail regarding the same...

I got admitted at asmsoc bba mumbai and paid the fees too. Orientation ka mail nahi aaya abhi tak 😭

I am in christ ypr campus and I have been hating it!!! Earlier I was like okay dress code and attendance, that's it and I can manage. Bhai wtf?! Every single day some or the other rule comes up out of nowhere. And the fact that each teacher has their own way of enforcing rules.

Like even the duppata thing is a confusion. Some teachers are pretty chill if we don't wear it in the classroom but one of them cut my attendance for not wearing it in class (I had it in my bag) wtfff?!

There are many such things. And wth why do they have orientations for every fucking club?! Bro we aren't babies that everything has to go spoonfed. We'll explore at our own pace!!!

And just in case if anyone comes up and says (like really those gaand chaatu toppers) ki they are just ensuring discipline so that you can do well in life-

So basically I am moving to Bangalore for bcom international business accounting (integrated with CPA Australia) course at ypr campus.

I have thode questions coz I feel I am gonna feel half dead during my 3 years:

My classes will be from 7:30-5 (7:30 to 12 bcom classes 12-1 break and 1-5 cpa classes). How do the students manage extracurriculars in such courses where they have coaching too 😭

How strict is the attendance for these coaching? Like if I want to study on my own someday can I?

How stressful is it though to be in such courses? And how good are the professors there?!

Tell me more if you want to. Just try to make me feel that I have taken the right decision of studying in this uni 😭😭

So I got admitted at Christ University yeshwantpur campus for bcom in international business accounting with research integrated with CPA Australia course.

Coming from a great dance and finance heavy clubs background i wish to join extras in christ too (maybe for 1st year).

Ik cpa exams will be more stressful so Obv in second year I might have to leave some clubs or maybe all of them

But my question is for all the DPS (Department of Professional studies) students especially those who have acca or ca prep and have morning to evening classes (7:30-5)

Did you guys take part in any extracurriculars? What were they and how did you manage?

So ik christ ain't fun but the area around central is amazing for nightlife and having fun. But I am not sure about the area near yeshwantpur campus

How's the campus life? Does it have the same extracurriculars inside?

Also what's the outside college life like? Is there anything nearby to find an escape someday?

Pls answer ppl coz the area around looked so damn isolated NGL. 😭😭😭

So I went to yeshwantpur campus for my admission process and since I attended the orientation I have a few questions before I shop for my clothes:

• Firstly, they said that in YESHWANTPUR campus they don't allow western formals for girls. Only on Thursday uniform is allowed. But rest of the days only salwar kameez. Is it true?

• also how do they react to short kurtis? Are they allowed if we wear them with loose pants with a dupatta?

• About shoes, they didn't mention anything for girls. They only said that for boys it shud be formal. So can girls wear anything (in general I wear crocs or shoes as I have some issues with my foot so can't really wear fancy stuff) or there are certain specifications?

• I have heard that they do allow students to wear jeans or casuals ONLY IF THEY ARE WEARING CHRIST MERCH lol is it true?

• last one pakka: what do they allow for winter wear? Like what do I need to purchase? Hoodies, blazers, cardigans or sweaters?

I am expecting answers mainly from alumnis or those who are going thru YESHWANTPUR campus plz 😭😭
