Okay I’ve been tinkering away for HOURS trying to recover my TS2 Data files & CC/Mods, but I am getting absolutely nowhere & I need help.

I copied everything on my local drive after realizing it was auto being put on onedrive, which lead to incessant errors bc of maxing out on the free storage (5gb) & threatening to shut down my email unless I paid for extra storage (which made zero sense to me bc I have a 2tb hard drive??) & I was confused bc I never opted for my data to be put on there in the first place. I just got a new gaming laptop w Windows 11 & I guess it’s an automatic thing unfortunately?

When I deleted all the sims files off onedrive it wiped everything on the app, even though I still have the folders with saves & whatnot. I unsynced my laptop from onedrive, but now cannot seem to sync it back, to recover the recycling bin & access everything before the mishap.

I tried uninstalling & reinstalling TS2, I’ve tried moving files & folders around. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has worked. I’m honestly okay with losing my save progress at this point (i was about 20 hrs into the beginning of my dream alien empire 🥺), but for some reason even though I’ve created a new downloads folder, it isn’t acknowledging any of my CC or mods & I am genuinely stumped.

FWIW, the folder since the reinstall are differently organized & do not look identical to the files/folders that I backed up.

I am just genuinely confused & I’m worried because of what happened I now might not even be able to mod the game anymore? Idk how that’s even possible.

If it’s helpful I can link photos of the folders (old ones that worked before onedrive copy & the. deletion ) & the new folders from the re-install.

My possible nuclear option is that I may end up having to completely wipe my new laptop & restart it & maybe that would work & id make sure it’s not synced to bs onedrive before downloading anything?

Hi all, as the title states~ I’m wondering if anyone’s had luck with professional intervention for potty training?

I love love love my boy, but I’m at my wits end. I just put a consultation request with a local trainer for Friday to get some professional guidance. I have no idea if it will help, but it’s the only thing left I haven’t tried.

I got my boy at 3yrs old from a breeder who said he was previously potty trained & shouldn’t be difficult to retrain. Fast forward 8 months later & I feel like I’ve made little to no progress, despite giving treats & praise immediately after every pee and poop outdoors. He poops way more than my other IG, & despite being on a very regular walk schedule (I take them out 5x a day) he is still going in the house. I still have him in a belly band bc otherwise all my furniture & rugs would be soaked. I’ve seen him have the ability to hold his bladder for 6 hours (not that I’ve forced him to. But if I’m out running errands & gone for a bit, sometimes his belly band will be bone dry when I get home). So it’s not a matter of whether or not he can hold it.

I love my baby & im willing to spend whatever money necessary on training for results. But im feeling a little fooled by the breeder who was extremely encouraging about his ability to be potty trained again when I communicated my concerns & what I was looking for & tbh if I had known it was going to be this insanely difficult I likely wouldn’t have brought him home. The level of maintenance he requires is insanely high & is incredibly unforgiving if I’m even 30 seconds too late to leash him up & get him out the door in the morning. I feel like I am constantly picking up poop (which he also eats & leaves mushed up crumbs which makes it even harder to clean up). I don’t mind the pee as much bc the belly band buffers it, but I never rely on it to skip potty breaks.

I can’t really travel at all at the moment because of this bc it’s not ideal to force a sitter to handle this situation (& through learned experience it somehow is worse with the sitter bc his schedule isn’t 100% the same). The only time I’ve taken a trip I was gone 2.5 days & it was an absolute disaster. I was getting update after update from the sitter about how much my boy was struggling with pooping inside.

This is the first dog I’ve had where it’s felt like a struggle the entire time, & the first time I’ve had to consider that it may not be a good fit for me. I hate admitting that & I feel like a horrible person for feeling this way, but my life feels like it’s shrunk three sizes because of how high maintenance my boys constant care demands of me. None of my friends are willing to watch him (they’ve historically always been willing to watch my girl & have never had any complaints with her).

I’m learning the extreme hard mode way that this will be the last dog I will ever get that doesn’t come already potty trained & I will not be going the retired breeding/show dog route ever again because the breeders don’t enforce any potty training whatsoever. I’ve never done an IG pup either bc I’m terrified of leg breaks.

TDLR~ My dog is breaking me with the 0% of progress he’s made with his potty training since I brought him home & I need some sort of affirmation that professional intervention can get us on the right path.

I am a longtime lover & player of The Sims 2 (my Roman Empire generation). & I just got a gaming PC that will be delivered in a couple days.

Wondering if anyone has a conclusive list of content/graphic mod recommendations for someone who is beginning their mod play journey? I’ve only ever played vanilla w expansions.

I got a pc w 32gb of ram on a Windows OS which is probably more than necessary for The Sims, but I’d love to play w improved/updates graphics.
