Hi, I am a current first year student who is planning to transfer to RMIT at a completely different program. I now have an offer for it. I do not enjoy my current course at my current university. And I don’t think I will be happy if I still push through it.

I’m only enrolled in two subjects. The final exams are coming soon, and I am thinking of withdrawing before then so I do not need to study for it. So, I can mentally rest and prepare also for my new course.

However, withdrawal will result in a fail in my transcript. Will this affect my enrolment to RMIT? Or my WAM/GPA in general? I’m really worried about this.

I am applying for a course transfer to Bachelor of Education this second semester. Currently in my first year, sem 1. I am enrolled in 2 subjects at my current course/degree, I think I will either fail one subject or just have a passing grade at 50%. Will my WAM affect my application? Or they will still look at my year 12 history?
