Scam Alert: Got an "Axis Bank Credit Card" call 4–5 days after activation asking me to click an SMS link
I wanted to warn everyone about something that happened to me.
My Axis Bank credit card application was approved, I activated the card through the official app, and the physical card was delivered successfully.
Around 4–5 days later, I received a call from 01600308286 (Truecaller showed "Axis Bank Credit Card"). The caller claimed to be from Axis Bank and said:
"You'll receive an SMS for credit card activation/offers. Just click the link in that SMS."
This immediately felt suspicious because my card was already activated through the official Axis Bank app.
I didn't click any link and disconnected the call.
Has anyone else received similar calls after getting a new Axis Bank credit card?
If you're a new cardholder, never click links sent via unsolicited calls. Always activate your card and manage offers only through the official Axis Bank app or official website.
