Advice on Descriptive Elements

One of my beta readers got back me today mentioning that one thing that I should improve on would be descriptive writing. I've always struggled with including these so if you have any exercises or any other thing you do to have descriptive writing in your writing send it my way!

[Complete] [59K] [YA HOCKEY ROMANCE] DEFROST

hi! I am looking for beta readers for my ya hockey romance DEFROST! I would like comments on the plot mainly and if the characters have different personalities and you are able to differentiate each of the characters!

THIS IS DRAFT 2, BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN LINE EDITED!

Here is the blurb!!

Wynter Choate has always loved photography, specifically hockey. One of Wynter’s goals for high school? Get on the social media team for Audra Lane’s Hockey team. She accomplishes it her junior year. She always had a special talent for getting pictures of hockey players, especially her childhood best friend. Deacon Ridgwell has always had a thing for hockey, and his childhood best friend Wynter. It’s his second year on varsity. Deacon is determined to get his team to what they wanted last year, their first opening season win. Things pick up for not only the team, but their relationship. Deacon gives Wynter his hoodie, with his number and last name on it. It’s normal to support your best friend this way, right? Will it end in a penalty, or a power play?

Trigger Warnings (also listed in the front of the book)

Traumatic Accident involving unconsciousness

  • Bullying
  • Panic Attacks
  • Anxiety
  • Fighting with blood mentioned
  • Use of underage drinking (from antagonist!)

I am willing to swap, but max of two-three books!

Pls comment or DM me if you are interested in reading my book! Deadline for this book would be the end of August to end of September! Thank you!!

Kingdom Of The Wicked Trilogy Spicy Chapters

I recently bought the first book because the blurb sounded good, but I didn't realize that there was spice in it. Is it skippable, and if so what chapters?

Is reading the third Arc worth it?

I'm rereading the series and I stopped when the third arc was being released because I was aging out of the series. (I'm rereading them bc there fun and I'm in the mood to binge haha) Is it worth reading the third arc, or do I just leave it at arc 1 and 2? thanks!!

Edit: I am thinking about reading arc 3 now! my library has all 5 books ;)
